Two Jim Rice Topps Originals 1/1's??? Something is fishy...

I sent him a pretty lengthy email and told him he needs to just end the auctions and be done with it because he is now caught.

He had a nice little racket going......

Buy a NICE Buyback certified "REAL" AUTO and then use the certificate and fake the same players AUTO and list it. Also, just buy up cheap crappy "REAL" Bowman Originals and use the Sticker and Case for the forged ones.

I told him his Rice forgery was really bad and I can provide the scan to the real one, lol.


Interesting to see his response, I told him I didnt want to hear a bunch of excuses, between the Rice and Bonds he was caught....

As of right now no......the way I worded the email, I hope I dont hear back....I told them to just end the auctions and stop.....they have been caught with numerous cards/serial numbers etc. as proof and it had been forwarded to ebay. I told them if they valued there 100% feedback and decent selling ID they would do the right thing and end the items and not keep up the forgery. We will see what happens------my guess is ebay will have to remove them though.

Some guys over on PSA are working on getting the seller removed. They just got the Cal Ripken auction removed :D

emailed the seller as well. Also ones who sold him buybacks, trying to get sticker #'s. Doubt they have the back scans but worth a try.

I'll post any replies.

The Bonds should be EASY to get removed as well. I noticed the Rice Auction got ended and the Ripken which was already mentioned.......too bad the seller wont probably get the boot though...

I wouldn't be surprised if the seller doesn't get the boot as well, some guy got that Ripken removed pretty fast.

The only way this is going to end is if the FBI finally steps up and does something about it.

Right now, I'd have doubts about a Topps original card even if I pulled it from a pack myself.

That Murray looks very very off. Obviously a fake.

Bummed too because I'd have loved to have bought the real one.

LOL, I thought the same thing when I saw a sealed 2004 Topps Originals Hobby Box for sale on ebay.....I figured I wouldnt even buy it for $20 because everyone would assume anything decent that I pulled would be fake!!!

It seems as though the seller may have ended the Rice and Bonds....might as well have because he was caught....however he will no probably just take them to some show or a different auction site and move them, I am sure.


Tell the PSA Guys thank you because that was pretty quick work on the Cal...

Well if that is true, GREAT!!, but I have a sneaking suspicion it isnt.....I do see however that the seller did indeed end the Bonds and Rice. I believe Ebay pulled the Ripken.

Ok, so I sent the seller a follow up email, sugar coating the fact I think he is full of crap, and telling him I dont think the Griffey SP Buyback AUTO is real and also asking him what his intentions were about making it right with the other people he scammed on the Eddie Murray, Joe Mauer, Kobe, and Hank Aaron and that he should probably do the right thing and contact them and refund them since it was well over a $1,000 that was basically stolen.......


I get this as my repsonse...

I'VE ACTUALLY HAD THEM BOTH EMPLOYED FOR ABOUT 10 MONTHS. I ASSURE YOU TK, WHAT I TOLD YOU IS TRUE REGARDING THE KIDS. WITH THAT SAID, THEY TOLD ME THEY PURCHASED THAT GRIFFEY THIS PAST WEEKEND AT THE EAST COAST NATIONAL SHOW. THEY SAID THEY PAID $90? WHETHER OR NOT IT'S TRUE, I DON'T KNOW? IF YOU FIND ANYTHING REGARDING THAT CARD, BE SURE TO LET ME KNOW. IT'S OBVIOUS YOU HAVE BETTER OUTLETS THEN I DO FOR FINDING THIS STUFF.
