UD Black over promised under delivered

Where did they find these cuts.(below) Who hand numbered them a girl in the office. UD known for inscribing this years cards in advance and making it look like the athlete inscribed them. Now they are giving the girls in the office some hand numbering to do too. Having a product full of nice rookies in college uni's this late is great but where are the pro uniforms..
The hundreds of flag cards flooding ebay is very patriotic

The list of cuts autos and HOF'ers in the product are not the greatest or the signers sign everything in front of them.
For the price of the product just not happy.
Granted there are a handful of cards that are sweet like the brees below(still not the greatest) but just they under delivered this product unless you like cuts of guys nobody really collects and college uniforms.

UD makes the ABSOLUTE WORST cut autos!!! They are HIDEOUS!!!

And that Brees, that's is one ugly card, it looks like Decepticons logo from Transformers!!!

Overall I really like what I have seen so far. I agree the hand numbering is hideous and those cuts are awful. I am gonna pick up a few of the flag patches of Alan Page, Theismann, Joey Porter and some others, but not anytime soon. I'll wait til it cools, prices are friggin insane for a base manufactured patch /250.

I think it will be a hit though, love the design.

I like the product in hockey, basketball was alright and non in football it is less impressive.

The flag cards are considered the base cards from what I've read. They're one per pack (or 2 per box).
Not really a huge draw to me.....but hopefully someone wants them, cause at least it will add a little value if your auto stinks.


I've been on the fence with this one - I love some of what I've seen and I did very well with the basketball....but I'm not sure yet if the f-ball version is going to have enough big pulls to justify the msrp. If these early breaks stink, then I guess it will save me some money.

I've never, ever gambled with high-end stuff, because I'm just too much of a coward. I think the cards are pretty cool looking, although I agree that the flag patch cards don't do much for me either. I'll go the same route as Deceptikon and pick up a couple of the singles I like when the market settles. From the looks of it, a lot of them are in Taiwan, and I lack the patience to wait for one of them to ship to Minnesota.

First, the cuts blow. Not sure whether or not all the companies got together and decided that there shouldnt be any pictures on them anymore. I liked them so much better with pictures.

Second, I really like the lustrous stuff. It is very, very cool, and the PETG component to the card has always been awesome.

Third, the rookie college uniforms suck. However, from what I was told, it was pretty much impossible to get them signed in pro unis before the release. Many of the players would have been redemptions, and then there would have been more complaints on that. Instead we have cool looking cards of the rookies that dont look bad, but definitely arent at full potential.

Lastly, I like the Flag cards. As a base element, its a cool idea, even more-so for the signed ones that turned out well.

Remember, this is only a small slice of what this set is. I am loving as many parts of this set as I hate.

That being said, I still wouldnt bust a box.

There's a break on youtube I'm watching now - 3 straight boxes where all it has been is the flag card and one of the base rookie card auto's numbered to 399 or whatever (not great rc's either). If that's what the majority are going to be, no way i'm paying $225 for that.

Same here, the flag is larger than the player's photo.

That's why I was really looking forward to it and almost pre-ordered some, but i'm just dissapointed if 60% or 70% of the boxes are just 2 base rc auto's (we'll know when more breaks start popping up). I loved busting some of the basketball - and it was fun no matter who I pulled simply because they had some of the nicest most creative auto and patch sets of the year, and there was a lot of variety from box to box.

To be fair, I don't think I would call this product "crappy" at all. Overpriced, certainly, but the cards do look better than a lot of what is poured into the marketplace annually.

That Payton cut is gross. Really no defending this product at the current price. It will be 105 a box in 6 months

I do feel patriotic with the horrible flag representations.
