Slides have been done before, but never this nice looking. If there's a 'Skin selling for a halfway decent price, I just might pick one up. Hopefully you can see the slide pretty decently in the card when actually holding it in your hands. I know you all have seen the Leaf slides, but here's the only slide card I have in my collection. There's zero design involved and this new UD card completely blows it out of the water.

Would you be interested in picking up a Portis slide from Leaf R&S? I can't remember the year (I think 2005) or the version, but I'd be happy to pull out my Miami Hurricanes PC for you and check. I know it's of him as a Redskin.

I take back what I said before, these look great. Love the Lustrous stuff and the dual sig swatch.

If I am correct, the lustrous cards should have some sort of plexi element.

Would you be interested in picking up a Portis slide from Leaf R&S? I can't remember the year (I think 2005) or the version, but I'd be happy to pull out my Miami Hurricanes PC for you and check. I know it's of him as a Redskin.

I believe I've got it. Thanks for the offer, though.

I like these new pics for the most part. The only exception is the Smith/Sanders dual auto because the signature appears to be on fabric. Black has previously used fabric to sign on, and I feel that the auto just comes out looking really messy and degrades the value and ascetics of the card.

I believe their facebook page stated sometime in October. There will be two packs per box, two cards per pack. One card per pack will be an auto and the other will be a US flag manufactured patch card (read: filler.) No word on price yet, but I'd expect them to be about $120 a box if this past year's UC is any indication.

I hope they finally figured out how to make the cards so they don't look beat to hell fresh from packs.

I see what you mean.

If it were up to me, I would have moved the flag up to the top of the card, and had the "BLACK" underneath of it. Then the auto would be over the "BLACK".

Yeah but in baseball there are tons of foreign players. In football nearly every player is from the US.

Some of the cards seem too busy, but I will wait until it comes out
