Thanks for posting the video.

After watching the video, my first impression was how British, or Victorian the UD Goodwin set feels. Consider the source, but the whole botany, curio cabinet, fauna, and flora fascination reminds me of Victorian England.

It's a very handsome set.

I got a bug redemption from 09's one and only box I broke. I finally did get it. But in the video he said they would have everything already made and ready to go so that when redeemed, they could immediately send out the bugs. Here's me, not holding my breath...

Has anyone visited the artists website? He sounds pretty conservative and I think he really put some time into the RRs. RRs the only one with flags on each photo, if I recall correctly.

Yeah I noticed his conservatism too. Doesn't seem like a good idea to wear your beliefs on your sleeve like that when people are commissioning work from you. I think these might sell for more than people are estimating in this thread. They look real nice.

I think the first ones will be crazy and then prices will drop, but I agree with you that the numbers in the thread seem low to me.

Too lazy to check now, does anyone know the painters rates if you wanted to commission something along these lines?

I'm going to chalk this product up as another one that people get all excited for and then once released, do nothing but complain about it. With that said, the ones in the whole two minutes of the video I watched looked really good.

Well of course but the problem with UD and redemptions is they flat out blow when it comes to filling them. The guy in the video said these bugs would be ready to ship. A part of me doesn't believe that. Hell, the last time around I was actually worried they weren't even gonna get made. Maybe it is true and now since they have a set procedure for producing these oddball cards, turn around time will be faster. But nobody likes to buy a box and then wait 6 months or a year to get the card.

that happens with almost every redemption topps has ever issued.

either that or you get a .99¢ replacement...
