Starting to think ahead a bit toward the forthcoming prospect releases from Topps, UD, Panini, Razor(?), etc., and a question for everyone to ponder: Let's say UD ends up signing some "exclusive" type deals with certain prospects, would you find a 2009 UD Strasburg more desirable than his previous UD USA cards, even given if they are not licensed cards?
Obviously this wouldn't be applicable to all high-profile '09 draftees, but for the ones who have USA issued cards.

UD Prospect, without a doubt.
J.P. - cause and effect scenario: do you think USA cards by default lose value afterward?

Upper Deck should bring out a product like 2004 SP prospects in 2010...

I would like the UD Prospect without a doubt as well

In the past they have, certainly, but in this latest USA release, maybe not quite so much, given the extremely low print run this time. Just my guess.

The verdict is in on USA cards. There is a market for them and they are a neat early card for certain player collectors. However, most want a RC/1st year release of a guy AFTER he is signed by a ML club.

The Strasburg USA's are numbered fairly low though, aren't they? So they will always sell high. This might be an apples to oranges situation. Either way, the 09 UD non-licensed exlusive will be a very popular card.
