Overall I enjoyed the show. I didn't expect the main event to go to a decision either way. So I was surprised with that. The post main event stare down was hilarious too. Especially with Jackson's 'black on black crime' comment.

Matt Hammil's KO leg kick was brutally amazing. It came out of nowhere. The best part of it was when he kneed himself in the face on the way down.

This was the travesty of the night though. What in the blue Hell was Yves thinking? You can't stop a fight, then be like "Oh man, probably shouldn't have done that so quick, better just act like it didn't happen and let them go." That's how people get hurt. There have been people on SherDog saying that's how fights should be refereed and whatnot, and I totally disagree. I said last night that I don't think he should ever be able to ref an MMA fight again. Maybe a strong stance, but that's a pretty big eff up. If Dana controlled the refs, not the athletic commissions, he'd be gone.

People hate on Kendall Grove for this stuff so much..........but I guess it was okay when Tito did it......

Some brutal elbows from him right here.

Was amazed at Carwin's KO. Not that he KO'd Gabe, but with the punch that didn't look like it had too much behind it. Easy for me to say right? But it didn't look like he had his hips into it or anything. Pure arm power. That was a fun fight to watch for me.

And may I please just say that I am totally ready for Lyoto Machida to kick all of their asses.

I thought the Jardine/Rampage/Machida stipulation was ********. What does Jardine have to do to get a title shot? He beats the virstual number one contenders at the time in Forrest and Chuck, then still doesn't get one. I just thought it was BS that Jardine was fighting for Machida to get a title shot instead of fighting for a title shot for himself.

I think we can all agree that Rampage was the number one contender going into the fight, and if Jardine won I think HE should have gotten the title shot. Not been fighting for someone else to get one. AS MUCH as I can't wait to see Machida pick apart Rampage and Evans, and everyone else in the division.

I know it's a mute point now, but I thought it was BS last night.

This is where Russ finds something wrong with my thread and gets his ******* in a bunch and calls me stupid. Just getting it out of the way to save him time. Sorry in advance.

I like Machida, but I think Rampage/Rashad will be a BIG draw for PPV buys. Not excited about having to wait for Mir/Lesnar but whatcha gonna do? Injuries need time to heal, so thats that...

I would love to see Carwin/Lesnar sometime before the end of '09.

BTW - Sam, change "mute point" to "moot point" :D

Not even worried about it,

I said months ago that I wanted Lesnar/Mir 2 to happen at UFC 100. The night of the Couture fight I said it.

Carwin is a freaking beast. Dude has some heavy hands, or Gabe can't take a punch at all.

UFC 100 is going to be freaking great though.

Mir vs Lesnar 2
GSP vs Thiago Alves
Dan Henderson vs Michael Bisping

As far as Rampage vs Rashad, I hate both of them with a passion. Never been a Jackson fan because I don't like his demeanor, and I can't stand Rashad because of what he did during the Forrest fight with grabbing his crotch and stuff. So I hope there's a double knockout somehow. I really don't know who I would rather win that fight.

I need to get my signature changed to UFC 100, but I don't have the capability currently.

If I understand correctly, Carwin and Lesnar have the two biggest gloves in the UFC. Both are giants with great wrestling. I would love to see that matchup...

Rampage / Rashad will be a fun match. If Rampage isn't ready like many believe he won't be, I have no problem at all with Machida stepping in. Rampage shouldnt commit to a title match if he isnt ready. 98 isnt far away.

I go back and forth on Machida...but the one thing that I do remain constant on him is that I am a fan. He's probably one of the best counterstrikers in all of MMA...but I was SHOCKED to see him get caught by Tito in the triangle. I know Tito is known for his GNP and submissions, was just surprised to see him get caught.

That being said, he has a WARRIOR spirit and I can't ever see him tapping...

I guarantee you that after Machida put the beat down on Silva in his last fight no one will ever chase him around the ring like that again.
There needs to be some sort of investigation or Yevine should go before the athletic commission. That was embarrassing and he could have got Pete Sell killed.

That is exactly why I hate Grove. For that crap right there. You were on the brink of losing your job. You should worry more about fighting then the after celebration. Those were vicious elbows though.

Tito only did it after he beat Shamrock for the 3rd time but Tito's a ****** anyway.

This is why: http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news?slug=d ... &type=lgns

as long as Evans is the champ, Jardine will not get a title shot. He didn't get one before because of previous losses. He might have beaten Forrest but instead of following on that momentum he was KO'd but Alexander in his next fight. He then beat Liddell but then followed that with a loss to Silva. He beat Vera and then loses to Rampage. As long as he keeps following every win with a loss in the next fight, i can't see why he would get a shot over guys like Machida, Silva, or Rampage. Since many people thought the Forrest/Rampage fight was a toss up.....beating Jardine and Silva is a lot to have to do to get another title shot.

Jardine needs to get on a good win streak before he gets a title shot. Yes he beat Forrest, but that was when Forrest was just fighting just to fight, he didn't have the type of game plans that he does now. Jardine followed that win up by getting killed by Houston Alexander. He beats Liddell by decision and then gets ran over by Wanderlei Silva. He beat Brandon Vera, and now lost to Rampage. The guy needs to be more consistent.

Is it just me or has Jardine fought the hardest schedule in the UFC over the past 2 years?
