I like Topps, and love old school Topps.
As I was looking through my older sets, I was remembering how much fun it was to collect variety, with Fleer, Donruss, Upper Deck and other companies.
For some reason, I thought Topps' exclusive license ended in 2014, and there was a chance for MLB to wisen up and grant other companies a license.
Then I googled it and realized MLB extended the license back in March until 2020.
I don't know why I didn't remember this.
I just don't like the look of airbrushed cards with no logos on players' hats and uniforms and won't buy them.
It sucks for Leaf and Panini and whoever else is left.
I guess I'll continue to fill in my vintage and pre-2009 collections for the next 7 years, when I hope MLB realizes that it's doing more harm than good to the hobby.
(Sorry for the rant.)
