I'm glad it's working out for you, but as a general rule-of-thumb I prefer my buyers to actually have the money for the items they bid/offer on.

Just to throw my two cents in, I agree that overnight to BGS and 1-day service would have been the better move if you were sure it's a 9.5. The gem grade should bring at least $400 more IMO. Then again, if you're hard up for cash and need to flip it quick, listing it raw would still net you a nice profit.
I personally would not let it ride in auction, and would throw it up for $2K BIN/BO. That way, you can weed out the serious potential buyers from the low feedback people who bid for ***** and giggles and then not pay. It may be true that an auction may fetch a slightly higher ending price, it also has a significantly higher chance of NPB for a pricey card such as this, whereas the BIN/BO route allows you to accept the offer from a reputable bidder. And since time is of the essence here, an NPB may cost you more money by the time the card is re-listed as opposed to taking a potentially lower offer on a BO.

not sure how many people here sell as much as i do in every type of format, but auction
is never an issue with a hot card. Do people not pay? yup, and it gets worse every day.
But just as many clowns lately dont pay on accepted best offers, so what can you do,
world is full of jerks, at least 10% anyway as that is about the going rate lately of unpaid items.
card like this is gonna get huge looks, and watches and bids at the end. cant control if
they pay, just the way it goes. andy hasnt decided yet, but if he wants it graded, it will be graded.

That's really funny that this thread isn't locked anymore and everything about how yankeefan shilled this auction is now deleted, or at least temporarily, I am still interested with what boomo does with this auction. From everything I heard he's a stand-up class act so I'm sure he'll do the right thing. Can't believe how hard that kid shelled :lol:
