and UConn is a 4 point fav over MSU.

I heard it on the radio earlier today. I definitley think UNC is too big of a spread. What are your thoughts with the spreads?

Always take the points against Duke & UNC. They're always huge favorites. I imagine it's true with UNC, but I know that Duke generally doesn't fare well against the spread, so taking the points is the smart play with those 2. I bet on almost all Duke games and many UNC games and I've noticed that trend. Keep in mind that the spread is what it is to enduce the most bets, not necessarily what the casinos think the spread "should" be on the court. Everyone loving UNC = bigger spreads.

I'm surprised UConn isn't a bigger favorite.

I think the way MSU handled Louisville is what keeps the spread close. I think Uconn will probably win. However, if MSu can get them playing Big Ten basketball like they did Louisville, they will win. Hasheem Thabeet is a good player, but I think Suton is strong enough to push him around some like DeJaun Blair did. Suton also has the ability to knock down the 3 so he can keep Thabeet away from the basket.

Suton will pull Thabeet out of the paint, since he's so good on the perimeter, opening up driving lanes for Kalin Lucas, and freeing up space downlow for Raymar Morgan. Raymar needs to play well for MSU to win.
Also, I love how everyone is counting Nova out. UNC beats Duke twice this year, which everyone was touting as a huge deal. Nova blows Duke out of the gym by the same margin that UNC beat them over TWO games, but no one seems to mention that. Nova had probably the toughest road (MSU a fairly close second) to get to the Final 4, playing a senior-laiden American team, a talented (but young) UCLA team, a 30 win Duke team, and the #2 overall seed in Pitt. Yet when UNC beats #8 seed LSU, it's the most impressive win in history. It just gets old.

The officials are trying everything in their power to give the game to Nova. It is getting pathetic.

Were we watching the same game? Exhibit A: the play ESPN showed, Corey Fisher driving and hitting at the end of the first half and getting smashed in the chest by Hansbrough's arm. They had a closeup of it.
Maybe UNC fans aren't used to seeing the game actually called (somewhat) fairly against Psycho T.

Carolina played like crap in the second half.

I will change my statement though since I posted around halftime. Nova was the one getting screwed in the 2nd half. I just think the officials stunk, mainly Carl Hess who is from the ACC.

Btw - Ed Davis was the one not getting the calls, not Hansbrough

They aren't. Hansbrough fouls a lot and gets BS calls. That is one reason why he is 16 points away of having 1000 pounts from the Free Throw line for his career.
