Now I have always loved the Heritage set. Topps can do this like no one else can (oh wait, there is no one else. Nevermind) but I have never completed one. I have unfinished sets from 2001 to 2009. After that, I quit worrying about trying to make a set. Still love buying packs and Blasters to get inserts and SPs and such, but not really interested in new sets or even working on my old ones. Anyone else in the same boat with me? Should we start a support group?

These things are a pain in the rear to complete (at least for me)! I am still working on these years.

2001
2002
2003
2005
2006 Chrome (not sure why)
2008
2009
2010
2011
2012
2013

And don't even get me started on any update or minor league Heritage sets!

On a side note, I have completed a few.

I've completed 2005 & 2008 Base and regular inserts. 2008 includes hi # also 2002 is very close (1 or 2 SPs). 2007, 2009 & 2011 are less than 10 SPs.

As far as chrome, relics and autos - I've kept what I've pulled, but never gone after the sets.

Same for SP & SSP variations.

I have unfinished master sets from all four sports for the years 2001 and 2002. Back in 2001 I had assembled 3 master sets from the cards that were left at my store by my customers and sold them off. These partial sets I have left are made from what remains of these cards. I am incredibly close to completing these sets but just can't pull the trigger for the more expensive cards I need. One of the goals I have this year is to finish these sets and to move them for whatever I can get and get them out of my closet. I have alos stacks of Heritage from other years where I opened packs and just put away the singles. I know I have short prints, chrome refractors and other inserts laying there but have done nothing with them. We really should start a trading group to help us all finish these sets. I have a good amount of cards to trade if anyone is interested.

Hey guys if you need singles to finish and want to buy or trade let me know. I have tons of extras from all years and I buy them too if you have extras to sell.

2001 Heritage--26 needed (not including three Black backs that I have Red backs of)
2002 Heritage--28
2003--89
2004--49
2006--109
2007--50
2008--75

Not sure where my list for 2005 went. I know it's not completed! Need a lot of regular singles and not just the SPs (2006--yikes!) I do have SPs from years past set aside in case I wanted to list them, or make trades, so if anybody has a few in mind they need, I can check.

I've got them going back as far as like 2007 or so. But after a while I said to hell with the sp's so most of my sets are just the base set(1-425) with a small handful of the sp's I pick up at shops, shows, or from busting...

Thanks Kevin, always appreciate the support. I do have roughly 6-7 thousand sp's available.....and maybe 2000 inserts....a chunk of those came from Kevin at some point! I will trade or sell. See my ebay auctions for details, but happy to work a better deal directly via FCB.

Tried to start building Heritage sets but never got very far. Have started 2001 through 2005, with 2002 being the closest to complete (need about a dozen). 2005 is the worst off. I bought one hobby box and I don't think I ever even sorted the cards! Something happened in 2005 that really curtailed my spending. What was it??? Oh yeah... got married and bought a house.

I have a ton from last year that I will probably never complete.
If someone is interested in it let me know and I can tell you what's missing. I'll sell it cheap.

Only 2006. I was really eager for it, but they took the photos too far washing them out to approximate the '57 set. I keep thinking I'll get back to it. Master sets are pretty affordable these days. I suppose 2001 also, never completed the 1-80 black backs, didn't really care. And I still need the Magglio Ordonez chrome to complete that set. Grrr.

Screw a support group, let's organize a trade group and help each other finish some sets without spending more money!

It makes me feel better to see that there are a lot of us who haven't been able to complete our sets.

I started my first Heritage set in 2006. Since then, I've been able to build all of the base sets and most of the SPs and inserts, but always end up a handful of cards short. The Heritage sets end up being a bit of a side project for the year rather than an actual goal. I usually give up each set once when I can no longer find SPs and inserts at a good price.
