I had a buyer contact me tonight,"estore-direct", and state...

"I beleave this auction was shill bidded.. either refund my money or i will contact ebay."

The auction he was referring to was this auction.

So I responded and said I didn't know what they were talking about, the second highest bidder was tch911jeremy and they bid on a ton of items.

He then responds with...

"WHAT ABOUT 3***a( 10768) 45% BIDDING WITH YOU AND NEVER WON AN AUCTION! LAST TIME REFUND MY MONEY"

So I email him again and tell him that no shilling happened and told him that name was "demar23". When I pulled up the bidding history of this user they did bid on all of the rookie lots that I posted so I can see why he questions those bids.

As soon as I sent that email I checked and got hit with a negative saying "HAS A SHILL BIDDER".

I typically wouldn't care but I just started selling on this name again and it killed my feedback. People are unreal, had to vent and warn others that this guy is a loose cannon.

Notify ebay, it doesn't look like shill bidding and they should be able to retract his negative feedback.

Rick, I have contacted them, but since it is ebay I don't have high hopes...

I sent an email saying it wasn't cool he nailed me with a negative for doing nothing wrong... Here was what I got back...

"It wasn't cool what you did! I just bought a big lot of the bumgarner for 3 bucks"

Sounds like the real issue is he is p*ssed he paid so much.

So to finish this off, I have to give the buyer a $10 refund to remove the negative feedback. They were upset that they paid too much for the cards since other Bumgarner lots went cheap and they couldn't make any money on them at the price they paid. ::facepalm::

Do yourselves a favor and block this guy.

I would have sent him a message that simply said "Go f**k yourself"

But I'm not the most PC person in the world when it comes to these types of people.

Did the buyer say he would ask for it to be removed if u gave the refund? I'm fairly certain if you just went through ebay they would remove the negative feedback without u needing to do anything.

I was on the phone with ebay for 53 minutes before Miel finally hung up on me. She said that this case did not qualify for feedback removal, so threatening someone for a refund or else doesn't qualify anymore I guess. When I asked to talk to her supervisor she put me on hold for 10 minutes, then said I would have to wait 30 minutes for them to call back. When I asked for her employee ID for my records she mumbled something, put me on hold, then hung up on me. Ebay doesn't care, I knew that going in.

Some people will do anything for a buck. Absolutely insane. If it were 'shill bidding' it still doesn't matter, as he is the one who determined he would pay the amount he put down on the cards. It's clearly his fault for bidding a price on cards he ultimately isn't willing to pay. Ludicrous how he could be allowed to stain your feedback over his own behavior (bidding). If ebay determined it was shill bidding, then you should get reprimanded for it, but he is in no position to speculate and do this BS.

Pathetic. Sorry to see anyone go through this type of crap. Cheer up bud.

Don't want to jinx myself but I've been selling on ebay for a while and never had an issue. I always read these threads and get scared though, most people are morons, oh well.

Glad you got the negative removed, worth the $10.

I can't believe there hasn't been a serious competitor to ebay pop up recently. They originally had competition when thing were much better. I really think if someone had the money, and the advertising effort to get the word out, a new competitor could take over.

Why not? Almost every original internet idea/site is one-upped (Yahoo/Google, Myspace/Facebook, etc.) Ebay is due.
