I may be picky but I would rather have one that does not cut off the auto. I definitely would get one of the older ones though because the 08 cuts and the pinnacle cards cut in half look like crap.

The New Prime Cuts has 500 available... 250 per design... they sell for about $300 or so... and will likely come down once more hit the bay.

I'd say no to that card for that price. The auto is cut off and like another poster mentioned there are plenty in prime cuts and i think you'll find much better prices in the coming months.

But, I wouldn't buy a cut at all. Why spend more money for a cut when you can get the original piece for less? You can get one of these Perez Steele signed cards with PSA cert for less that the price of that cut. Here is an example of the Mantle I own and the cards are really nice. I'm putting my HOF auto collection together with these and HOF auto plaques and I find them much more appealing than cut autos....just my 2 cents.

Here is the Mantle:

I think no on that one. The card isn't visually appealing.

I think this thread just inspired me. I should collect PSA/DNA Auth. Hof Autos. And, I say go for the cut.

I think sooner or later the "cut" trend is gonna come to an end. There are actual on-card certified autos of Dimaggio that you can have for less. He's got a Score auto, a Signature Rookie, etc... If all you want is a Joe D auto, there's plenty of ways without overspending.

For $179.99, you can buy a certified on-card Joe D auto from DACardworld:

Thanks guys for your opinions, I thought about the pinnacle but i really hat that its taller than a regular card. Besides this isn't a check sig wich is a plus, and also Not much at all of the sig is cut off which I like because its clean.

If you want it, I don't think $400 is a bad price for that card. I like that it features his full first name and it's not cut off too badly.

Re: ABOUT TO DROP SOME DOUGH ON A DIMAGGIO CUT OPINOINS!

IMO--which really doesnt matter, lol....$400 for the Cut AUTO like those is probably a tad high.....but pretty decent. I am going to somewhat agree with most of the posters--the PSA/DNA etc. AUTOs are the way to go price wise, but to many that just collect baseball cards and not autographs, those are not as appealing and could be difficult to move.

Also, instead of just his plain jane cut auto, why not try and pick something up a little more unique, like this...

DimmagioSweetSpotAuto.jpg

And, without having to do the work for you, there is a similar Dimaggio on ebay right now that is signed "Yankee Clipper" as I know you have contacted me several times on this one, lol, the one on ebay is prime for the taking....it is from a different year, but still nice.
