Sold my mantid for $220 tonight!
Congrats! Great sale. Wish I would've had the money.

My Longhorn Beetle just ended at $239! Also, my Blue Brushyfoot butterfly at $102, neither were oversized, I'm really surprised, $340 for 2 bugs..
That is incredible. There is some serious interest in these cards right now. Great time to sell. Even the ones that are showing up more frequently are still topping 100.

Some recent sales.
Dead Leaf Mantid $180
Rosey Walking Stick $170, $165
Great Walking Leaf $265 and $257
Scorpions have sold in $160's
I've only seen this one completed on Man Faced Beetle
http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-GOODWIN-CHAMPI ... 51935aff1f

Seems not as many are getting listed prices are creeping back up on some. Many of lesser ones are selling in $70-$80 range.
Looks like a few bidders may be working one sets, including W.

Who's W? Only 3 don't have closing sales right now and none listed: ENT-1, ENT-2, and ENT-30. I'm tracking as many sales as I can find and looks prices spiked last week and are coming down on some. Those bigger ones are the hot sellers.

Got my first bug in today:

Nice one Wide.
I was going to try and keep close track, but things are way too busy for me now to follow these super close. Nice info on how 3 haven't been seen yet. Has their been more than just the one man faced beetle to hit ebay? I know some can be missed by how people are listing them. One of these days I'm gonna try and score one of lesser one's.

W is Mr Superfractor himself. He has won a few of these cards.

Ah. I'm sure he's scored some of those bigger ones.

So far that's the only man-faced that has actually been listed, and sold for 220. I picked up my second, the Blomfild's Beauty butterfly. These are the sales on it so far: 144.00, 154.50, 130.00, 201.50, 201.50, 204.05, 78.01, 150.00, 140.00. Mine is the 78. That's pretty much what I'm doing right now is trying to get a steal or two until prices climb down.

Does seem the flow of the cards to Ebay has really started to slow down now. Is anyone still waiting on redemptions on any???

i listed up my Cramer's 88 and was able to pull in $135. i think there are some people who are trying to build the set but it looks like the market is starting to dry up on singles.

It feels like it is, but it's hard to say, not knowing exact print runs. We have yet to see 3 of the cards, and we don't know how many redemptions are yet to be redeemed.

Still not much for Giant/Great Walking Leaf or Man faced beetles showing up.
How 'bout this sale on the Rusty Brown Scorpion? [ebay:3e0rii5e]300439172617[/ebay:3e0rii5e]
Or this Lacewing??? [ebay:3e0rii5e]220627007110[/ebay:3e0rii5e]. Sheesh

Nice sale on 2 redemption cards. [ebay:3e0rii5e]300436785719[/ebay:3e0rii5e]. Maybe we'll see a couple of the rare ones soon. Any idea, are these random then? Do you know which bug you are getting when you redeem one?

I simply don't understand the ending price of the brown scorpion...

I could provide you with a living specimen of this:

...and you could have it as a pet and then mount it when it dies...and I'd do it for a lot less that what these "cards" are going for.

I understand if it is a rare, attractive, insect....but a brown version of a very common bug going for hundreds of dollars is a little silly.

I prayed I wouldnt get a Swallowtail as they are almost the most common butterfly around here in MA. Guess I should have hoped for one.

I think the new owner(s) of these would be sad to hear the previous sales for each of these were 81.00, 94.00, and 94.00. ::facepalm::

Question for the folks that have one of these cards. How fragile are these cards? Due to their size and apparent construction, seem like they a huge corner ding or pushed in window waiting to happen. I really love the look of these cards but this concern has been holding me back.
