Upper Deck is cashing in on the Michael Jackson hype by inserting Michael Jackson cards in 2009 UDx baseball, which comes out in August.
The illustrated cards honor his 1993 Super Bowl halftime performance, which has nothing to do with baseball.
The cards say Icons at the top, although they aren't in UD Icons packs. Just UDx, (and probably every future UD product this year).
Here are some pictures:

They are butt ugly caricatures but if you don't want the cards, don't buy the product UD is inserting them in.

No big deal.

THANK YOU!

Bodiaz, did you forget Topps produced a Fidel Castro cut signature?

No, it was an actual historic signature! If UD had a Michael Jackson cut auto, I would have no problem. The problem is they are printing worthless pieces of garbage of a piece of garbage. It has no historical significance, just like that idiotic * card.

Jackson was some super kind of wierdo, but i still have a tough time believing he did this.
he just didnt seem capable of it mentally to me. The guy really did seem like he never
stopped being 10 years old.

Boomo, the children's first father was being interviewed about how his kid was scarred for life and then said "well drop the case for $20 million". ::facepalm::

The second allegation went to court and MJ was found innocent on all counts. Later, the kid admitted it was all his parent's idea.

I like how UD is branded for the asterisk card but what about all the Topps gimmick cards like the 2008 upside down cards, Bush/Jeter, the fake prospect Uzuki, etc?

They are just trading cards. If you don't like them, don't buy them. Besides, it's in UD "X". No one even buys that brand.

Great points Mario.

Look, no matter what you think of Michael Jackson he was a helluva musician. Because of that, there are going to be people who are going to want these cards. Just because a company does something that you don't like doesn't mean someone else won't.

As for the asterisk card, that card summed up a lot of people's feeling about what happened. Also, for a person who collects someone as controversial as Barry Bonds*, I find it highly laughable that you would be pissed at UD for making a card of another highly controversial person. I am not comparing what the two of them did, just that they are both controversial figures.

Also, Topps puts out their fair share of ****** gimmick cards. If this board was not such a prospector board where everyone hailed Chrome, Topps would get scrutinized just as much as UD, if not more.

UD has more positives than negatives, but because they don't produce Chrome, we should all hate on them everyday, in as many threads as possible, all the time.

Think about it. If someone touched your child would ANY amount of money settle?????? F*%K No!!!!!! This never happened

The second allegation went to court and MJ was found innocent on all counts. Later, the kid admitted it was all his parent's idea. Prob same thing as above

I dont know what MJ did. I dont believe the stories. I believe he did want to be a child, because of his own tormented childhood. He felt more comfortable helping and being around children. Prob cause it was real. As a parent. Dealing with everyday life, money, bills, people borrowing everything. Spending time with my Children who just want my attention. Is a great exscape. Its the best part of my day by far. That said. MJ is Dead. He will have to answer elsewhere, but down here people should drop it and let MIKE RIP.

How can you think there is even a small chance he did not ****** children?!?!? Lets see, he was a 50 year old man that hung out with 10 year old blond white boys, (those were his favorites anyway). He gave said kids alcohol, but called it Jesus juice! He admits to sleeping in the same bed with them! HELLO! WOuld you let your 10 year old sleep in the same bed with a 50 year old non relative?!? I hope not! Oh, and they found an alarm in his bedroom that warned him when someone entered the front door, wonder why? They also found child **** all over his house, and he had portraits of little blonde 10 year olds all over his house! COME ON! Wake up!

BTW, I am not a prospector, I think they are weird too! Grown men buying cards of 16-18 year olds in bulk. Then as soon as they turn 21, they sell them all off and buy more 16 year olds! *edit* No thanks Love, Mod

So you just called prospectors, half of this message board, and the owner *some really nice guys*

I love how you ignored the Topps gimmicks I posted. I guess only U.D. is guilty in your eyes.

BTW, when did child **** become legal in America? If MJ had anything in his house you can bet he would have been charged with it.

Michael Jackson's Child **** Collection For Sale

Michael Jackson is trying to stop an auction of his former possessions - which are alleged to include paintings of naked boys.

The troubled pop star has taken out a temporary restraining order against Richard Altomare to block the planned sale, arguing he is the rightful owner.

Altmore, Chairman of Universal Express, claims he received 20,000 items from Jackson's former business partner Henry Vacaro as part of a bankruptcy case last year, and they include the "salacious" art pieces as well as "some of his whitening creams, [and] some sex aids".

He threatens Jackson's legal action could prove counterproductive.

He is quoted in the Metro as saying, "This stuff we have kept from the auction out of respect to Mr Jackson. The guy has troubles.

"We all have skeletons in the closet and, if Michael hadn't put up a fuss, I might have quietly, discreetly, just given it to him. I've already been offered $50 million for it privately."

The auction is due to take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and in Las Vegas on 30 May.

In an unusual and unique interpertation of the law criminalizing child ***********, artistic works, art or artist interpretations of minors in nude or sexual situations may be construed as 'art' and thus not - necessarily - criminal.

Apparently the mega-star, King of Pop and repeatedly acused child molestor Michael Jackson is willing to test these boundries in the name of art - not to mention the sexual aids he seeks to protect.

The welfare of Jackson's chilren has been an issue since his first child molestation trial. Jackson choose to live in Bahrain and is rumored to have converted to Islam.
