If they had done it in 2007 I would have built the Rockies set, but 2008 wasn't as memorable for me...

That is a pretty cool idea.

You could have cards from the very game you went to at the very least.

I've always wondered why companies don't say this jersey was worn on 7/4/08 by Troy Tulowitzki.

I would to get the games I went to this year's cards. I may try to do the Red Sox set, I am not totally sure on it. But it is a very cool and interesting idea for a set.

Those images are so old. You would expect a few new ones by now.

I just can post what I am given. Just trying to bring some info to this site as well as my own.

I saw the checklist for this and it looks like they just repeat player images every x number of cards. So I'll assume it's the same generic image on each card (like Moments and Milestones) and unrelated to the actual game.

I know man, I wasn't complaining that you posted it. I was just hoping UD would send out new ones.

There is no way they are using photography from each game, that would cost too much time and money.

Oof, I thought that was the point of the set, maybe I will stay away.

I understand that, but find it kind of lame that they may have a picture of JD Drew on Jon Lester's no hitter date or a picture of Hanley Ramirez for a game that he was sitting out. When I saw the checklist it was the same order every 10 or so cards for each team (ie. Hanley was number 3,13,23... for the Marlins set).

I actually like this idea and always thought it would be a great annual set to chase if some company did it. Of course, Upper Deck will do it this year and then punt for 2009.

I was excited for this product when it was announced, but it fell short of my expectations. At the least, I was hoping that it would feature the majority of the players that appeared in the majors this year. Instead, it looks like it'll be only 10-15 players represented per team. I think with a little more effort and thought, this could have been one of the more interesting sets of the year...a nice, lower end set along the lines of Topps Total or UD 40-Man that draws the interest of set and team collectors. Instead, the money I had set aside for 3-4 boxes of Documentary will likely be spent on singles and older wax.

I agree it is a cool idea but I don't want to see the same picture of Jon Lester for his no hitter as the game he got shelled for 6 runs in 4 innings. I don't want to see a picture of Varitek tagging Vladimir Guerrero out at the plate for a game against the yankees. I don't want to see Manny Ramirez for the Red Sox after he was traded or David Ortiz for the games he was injured for. Will we see a picture of Manny swinging the bat for the Yankees game when he pinch hit in the 9th and never took the bat off his shoulder because he was trying to prove a point?

The idea is great, but as someone said, the cost of photography to execute the idea properly would be extremely high. It would make it a high end product geared towards low end collectors, which just doesn't work.

I was at that game, that game could have a picture of me and my fiancee and my two best friends couped up in a Nissan Versa for 8 hours in traffic trying to get to that game to see Manny f'n do that.....
