Upset with Mike & Mike this morning.

They are talking about best living ballplayers, and Musial is NEVER mentioned in these conversations.

(as I was typing this they said his last name once along with George Brett, Ernie Banks, Pete Rose and Mike Schmidt.)

But he is never taken into serious consideration.


I know why. It's because he's white! It's racist!! Just joking.



But their main 3 have been Mays, Aaron and Bonds.

I think that over time, some of these ugys "big name" mean more than what they actually did. If Yogi was on any team other than the Yankees, people would not still be talking about him.

I find the guest segments the most entertaining. But I have it on in the background at work on ESPN2 and it keeps me somewhat entertained while I am here in the morning.

I like there show and yes they do gear it more towards sports fans in general than diehard baseball fans. To say they are idiots is doesn't really make sense. I think they have sports discussions that a lot of average/above average sports fans would have and that is exactly what the show is supposed to be.

I agree the guests are the best part, but Gammons is better than Phillips and Olney.

I completely think they are idiots. I think they lack true sports knowledge and get caught up in little "tid bits" and interesting "Did you know facts". They really give no in depth analysis. Listening to them talk about their daily lives and quirks is also quite irritating. The Odd Couple act has been done several times over and I just don't find it funny.

When Mark Schlereth is on the show as their 3rd guy, the show is ten times better.

First off. Stan should have been on thier list. Shocker ESPN Bias to forget him. But Stan isnt in the public eye of late so it is easy to forget him because he isnt in "Court" like Bonds, a former "Home Run King" like AAron or like Mays involved in alot of the current Giants teams activities

I agree with the others here. Mike and Mike are an old married couple with very superficial knowledge outside what the ESPN geeks provide them. They are passionate Football fans as well but that comes with the usual ESPN Bias

Thank XM(Baseball Channel 175) for thier coverage so I dont have to put up with that crap anymore

I turned it off as they were talking about Farve.....not because the topic was Farve but the fact that Golic has a tendency to get very excited while talking (for no good reason) and starts to yell rather than speak in a normal voice/tone.

I'm half awake in the morning.....I hate listening to people yell on the radio....and the same is true with tv shows that have characters that constantly nagging and yelling.

With all due respect...I think this statement is just plain stupid. Have you looked at Berra's stats?? Hw would hae been one of the all time best regardless of what team he played for. I think at this point he's just playing a character. A terribly annoying and always wrong character, but it's hard to believe anyone still things negatively about Lebron's game.
