With the exception of Ragira, these guys are all first rounders.

And except for the Taillon, they are all dirt cheap.

Brentz and Castellanos have seen significant price increases since release. Really in the last 2 weeks especially.

happens every year around this time. It is the most predictable thing in prospecting.

If Castellanos ends up not signing and going to school you can bet I will be picking up a ton

Ragira would be a lock for the first if he hasn't told everybody in the world he wants to go to college. Those Ragiras are sharp tho...where'd you get them??? LOL

Anyways, that Grandal for $36 or whatever you ran by me might have been a steal in a few days. The base Grandals have been getting like $16 dlvd solid.

I wouldn't buy a machado until he figures out how to write with a sharpie. He clearly hasn't figured out the signature.

Do you have any clue how many autographs they sign for Team USA? I wouldn't criticize until you go through that.

Look at how the rest of them still manage to put the pen to the sticker well. Its an aesthetic thing.

I've heard that its close to 2000 across the entire product per player. Could be wrong tho.

I'd wager a lot more. They spend one day at the camp only signing for the most part. There may be 2000 inserted, but I know there were more that they signed that were traps or stickers that were not used.

Actually, a players signature is not necessarily his own. (wait for me to explain before you go :o )

My local hobby shop owner, Bergie (very well know in the industry in Chicago) has spent a lot of time with certain players (not really hands on, but in other ways) getting them to change their signature to make it more aesthetically pleasing. I know that he has worked with a lot of lower level Chicago players on their signatures to make his inventory of their lower prices autographs more sellable to the local crowd. I could get some names if you really wanted but I am sure this is true across baseball and other sports.

They also probably get paid for these autographs, where as the Team USA kids do it for free and get no money for signing thousands of stickers and cards.

Back to original topic, yes they are very cheap, especially with some of the Patches on the cards. I also believe 2010 Bowman has something to do with the low pricing, if Bowman came out after the draft the USA patches would be going crazy.

People are after Chrome here mostly because it's new and it's "chrome" but I can't fathom a player peaking and have more people interested in a Gold Refractor than one of these autograph/patches out of 99. Sure, a Gold Refractor is limited to 50 copies and it's "gold", but I would have to guess that a patch and autograph will be more sought after.

I could be wrong.
