Used Redemption Cards

Anyone have any idea why people are buying these? In the last few weeks, I've sold most of the ones that I have (I need a few more transactions to get to Top Rated Seller status, so I've put some random stuff up there). Why would anyone want this?

Someone would just want the redemption card to complete the set? I guess that makes sense. I saw a bunch sell on ebay so listed my own as they are worthless to me. SOOOO close to 100 transactions.

See the 90s inserts.......many used redemption sell for more than the redeemed card based on scarcity since many redemptions are thrown away.

If anyone has any used Allen and ginter redemptions for cards that were never made I would buy them (both McEnroe auto/relic, both hope solos, 2010 sig Hanson relic, etc.)

I will take all the Juan Gonzalez used or unused redemption i can get. Like these.

I have never seen a 1998 Juan.

what kind of prices to those unused redemption inserts fetch?

I'd kill to get some old Glaus or Rolen expired redemptions. Fleer/Skybox had several Rolens in the late 90's, and I know UD had a few Glauses in the early 2000's. As mentioned, some of these can be scarcer than the redeemed cards.

There were SP authentic used redems for Crosby XRC's years ago that would sell for near $100.


I bet a Pujols chrome rook redem would go for decent cash these daYs as well.
