USPS to Cut Saturday Mail!!

well, living in a country like I do (Canada) we have never had weekend mail delivery. Nor is any post office open during the weekend. Door to door mail was cut off years ago. We now have those bulk boxes every couple of blocks.... and now, as of January 11, 2010, no postal carrier is required to deliver any mail if they do not feel comfortable doing it. All they have to do is leave a card in your box, telling you which post office you can claim your mail at, after 5pm the next day.

Believe me I had words to say at the post office, but what can you do? It's the government at work.

Nothing like knowing the package you've been waiting for is here, but now you have to wait a day and a half before you can drive somewhere to pick it up...

I read that post offices will still be open on Saturdays ... just no delivery...possibly.

A great money making idea for USPS would be to have PO Box Delivery on Saturdays to bring in people that need mail on those days.

I honestly don't care much.

But for what the PO do they make to much money.
