So I have had a redemption marked as "shipped" since monday, but when I enter the tracking number into USPS (certified mail), all I get is this:

Label/Receipt Number: 7009 2820 0003 3673 0732

There is no record of this item.

Is certified mail not trackable like DC? Seems like it would be for the money it costs. I also find it funny that Topps sends redemptions via certified mail, whether they are for Pujols or anonymous scouts.

Is it a Braun A+G auto?

Mine has shown shipped since Monday and the same thing.

I assumed they printed the labels and have not dropped them off yet??

Mine is a Heritage Dual of Ibanez and Ethier.

Glad to see that they're just sitting on them now that they've got them packaged up.

that is a registered mail # and is not going to show up as trackable.
registered mail is very secure thus very slow. can take up to 2 weeks.
be patient.

that's normal procedure for Topps. Could be another month before they show up.

What I think happens is this:

The label maker is located on the 28th floor.
The empty envelopes are on the 14th floor.
the actual card is located on the 1st floor.
Each day, not including weekends, the label moves down 1 floor.
When it finally reaches the empty envelope floor, it must wait in line for sometimes several days, not including weekends.
For 15 minutes each hour, the label placer attaches labels to empty envelopes and then takes a 45 minute break.
The labeled envelope then continues it's trek to the bottom floor.
Once the label reaches floor 1, they are then checked for accuracy. Many are deemed defective and sent back to the 28th floor to be reprinted.
If the label and envelope are accepted on the 1st floor, the card is then placed into the envelope.
Envelope is then sent to the 12th floor where it is sealed and rechecked for accuracy.
If everything passes inspection at this point, the completed package is then shipped to the consumer in another week or so.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the good info. One would think that secure and quick would not be mutually exclusive.

Also seems weird that registered mail isn't trackable, but they are guaranteed not to lose it despite the fact that it is flying under the radar. OMG cards are off the grid.

Yet when I send something with DC, which is trackable, it is possible for it to get lost and their response is "oopsy."

I do appreciate the heads up from someone who sounds like they know what they are talking about. You have been thanked.
