Vada Pinson

I consider myself to be very knowledgeable when it comes to baseball history and I can't believe I've never heard of this guy who had 2,757 career hits.

Is he famous for anything?

I remember him mostly as the hitting coach for the Tigers. He is one of the best players that doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame (if that makes any sense) and was overshadowed by Frank Robinson while on the Reds.

Very underrated hitter. He hit over 2700 hits.

I thought he was very well known? He played way before I was born, but I know him as a very good hitter from the Reds.
