Anyone know the value of a team signed Yankees baseball which includes the Mantle signature.I am aware that Mantle did not always sign the balls but had others do it for him.Lets assume this is signed but Mickey himself.I have yet to see the ball but it has been with the same person since the late 1950's and was autographed during a visit to a Yankees game while on honeymoon.
Thanks to anyone with a guess.

I'm the idiot? You come here asking for a price on an autographed ball, with the only variables provided is its a Yankees '50's team, and assume the Mantle is real. You've never even seen the ball. Some semi-important variables:
What team year? who's signed it? what kind of writing utencil? monochromatic? perma-plaqued? is the ball yellow? white? in between? ink faded? scuffed? Official League? who's on the sweet spot? authenticated? display well? etc. etc.

You're pretty much asking people to just pick a number from $10 (which was my choice) to $500++ at random, and post it here.

Probably smarter to just get some pictures, or at the very least wait until you have even seen the ball. Until then, my answer is about the most accurate you can get from anybody.

If its a true 50s mantle signed team ball his sig will look different than his 80s highly forged one.

Also the condition of the ball is huge. I doubt Stengel is on it due to the fact he normally had the clubhouse attendents sign.

I bought a medium yellowed 1958 team ball with a good mantle sig, club house stengel but real ford and berra for $450, PSA/DNA authenticated.

It would have to be an unreal pristine ball to reach over 2K unless rookie year

Thanks for that estimate.
From my conversation with gentleman who owns the ball,I thought he said he went to NewYork to see the Yankees in 1958.This baseball is 3 hours away and thought it would be nice to have an idea of what it may be worth ahead of time and pay accordingly.I was not aware of the importance of the Stengel signature, and will do some more research.I do however have high resolution pics of Mantle's different signatures.
Is the Stengel signature just as important as the Mantle signature?

it is nicer to have the stengel but the real value is in the ball's condition and the Mantle auto condition. If those two aren't nice then it doesn't really matter the rest because the ball will be severly hurt for value.

It will be guessing at best without real info and pics

Is it a team signed ball (clubhouse) or just one where the guy got sigs from the railing before/after the game??

Need a list of the players/coaches who signed it at least... Mantle is very common, there will be others who are far tougher and will be important in determining the overall value (ie DiMaggio, Mize, Slaughter, Ford, Stengel (mgr), Berra, Rizzuto, Maris, Martin, Howard, Bill Dickey (coach), Frank Crosetti (coach), etc.

The year and condition is important, championship years sell much better.

post pics when you get them.
