[quote="ALL_THE_HYPE":2ki6ycbf]The Tigers' middle relief might be the most frustrating thing on earth. Why not just get to the sixth, then give an inning each to Perry, Zumaya, and Rodney?

Seay and Minor are terrible and Robertson isn't too much better.

And for the record, Seay and Minor just blew Verlander's awesome start. Neither of these two clowns should even be in the major leagues until they can learn to throw strikes.

agree that neither of them should be in the majors, but i also think zumaya is terrible to, lets be honest they dont really have any middle relief....brings back memories of that dumb*** jason grili from last year

Luckily for the Tigers, no one in the AL Central has good middle relief. It's pretty pathetic.

The Royals bullpen is fantastic.[/quote:2ki6ycbf]

The back end is good (when Soria is healthy), but not so much in the middle.

Leyland should have NEVER taken Verlander out. That was a total bonehead move! 13 of 19 outs were SO's! And then his 3rd walk. Big deal. He took a posssible win right out of Verlander's hand, and handed the game to the Twins with they're "Class A" relievers.

Tejada/Wright/Cruz/Soria have been pretty lights out. Farnsworth has struggled. I really wish the Twins would have signed Cruz. I remember them being very interested, but they didn't want to give up the pick. Ayala was a horrible consolation prize, he needs to go. This kid we got off waivers from Colorado looks promising. He has been lights out in AAA. I would bring him up and cut bait with Ayala.

I think Leyland had to take Verlander out. He had allowed two straight batters to reach and his pitch count was 122. Maybe he could have let him throw to one more, but I don't want to see a 140-150 pitch count this early in the season.

Zumaya is the key to this team. He needs to continue his comeback from his shoulder issues. The velocity looks there but the location hasn't been the best which is typically after an arm injury.

I'm really regretting not picking up Boomo's Gold Ref.
Same. I think I was the second highest bidder (maybe third.)

I do agree that his pitch count warranted being taken out.
