I chose option A.

miggy gets the card and can't come back until Spetember. And since Spetember is not even a month, Spetember will never come and miggy is gone for good. ::facepalm::

I wouold personally give it to a different Miggy collector, like StlAlways. miguelcabrera isn't the only Cabrera collector, and stlalways has a sick cabrera collection, and this would be a great addition to his collection too. Just my .02

I'm not voting - but I think we should all thank Greg for his continuous giving and helping collector's with their PC. I can name others on the board that are just as generous as well so I hope they don't feel left out.

by the way, I didnt vote because I think the card should go to stlalways or hell I would even take it back...I always kind of liked the card and when I saw mark post it the other day, I wanted to get it from him, but it was gone pretty quickly...

the people who are voting for me to stay, for people who constantly complain about me, you would think this poll would be lopsided as its a chance to get rid of me for four months, a pleasant surprise is all it is, shows I do bring some life to the boards

I just can't vote in this poll. I'm certainly no fan of most of miguelcabrera's posts, and I'm constantly wowed by bigfan's generousity, but something about this just doesn't sit right with me. I can't really put my finger on it.

My take is simple...

He doesn't get the card and keeps his posting privileges. I hate to be like this, but we have mods here for a reason.

I see no point in glorifying him for being annoying this long, and then paying him to stop for a short while.

Let him catch his own time out of here.

i have only read 2 pages of this thread so i dont know how it is unfolding.though i have never had the pleasure of interacting with miggy i do know that generosity should be no strings.
i see a miggy post i read. he is the howard stern of the boards and im sure many others do the same. people want to see what he will say next.
i have heard about how generous some members are on here and my hat goes off to you. im a firm believer that truly special cards should go to collectors and not stay in a dealers for sale display.
i reserve my judgment on miggy.
my thought is that you give him the card as he will appreciate it.
let the members who dislike him deal wih him on their own.

It's hard for me to really vote on this one. I am a mod, and I am one of the few that usually sticks up for Miggy. I've told him on numerous occasions he has gone too far, and cut it out. I was someone who was a target of Greg's generosity, and have always been able to tell that Miggy's posts really struck a chord with him.

My thing is this, yes Miggy may sound pretty stupid at times, but deep down is he trying to be dumb or does he have no filter on what he says? Does he genuinely like cards, like collecting and talk about it? Yes, he does. I give Miggy more credit than I do many of other posters who may not be as disliked, but seem like they have no interested in any team, player or the sport of baseball it self, but more care about who they can buy to make money.

Miggy reminds me slightly of an overzealous version of myself, he doesn't sell much, usually when he does he is doing it to buy something bigger, and would rather keep the card. He genuinely likes Miguel Cabrera, baseball, and collecting cards. This site is his outlet to let him talk about it, he messes up a bunch, but usually gets it when he is told not to do that again.

I wish option C was he gets to stay around and gets the card, because I believe he would appreciate the card. So I'm not sure how to vote, but hopefully me speaking my piece influences other voters some.

First off, if the above post isn't a joke, I'm nearly speechless. Darocker you are just as bad/annoying as miggy just without the oddball, fall off the wagon type posts. If you are joking, it doesn't look like it. Just looks like you're fishing for free cards and I've seen you post stuff like this multiple times. Honestly it makes me sick to my stomach.

There are other Cabrera collectors that would appreciate the card just as much. Just b/c a member doesn't put something about Cabrera, Lincecum, Montero, etc. in every line of every post they make doesn't mean someone else doesn't collect them or enjoy them as a player as much. Miggy shouldn't get the card for basically just being an annoying spectacle on the boards.

There are members that annoy me much more than miguelcabrera, and I know he would like the card. I can't vote partly because I know another Miguel collector who would really appreciate the card. :lol:
