First the Chicago Bulls learn that Stormin, Norm Van Lier. as passed
Now Johnnie Red Kerr has died yesterday as well.
2 greats in one day.

Although it is not reported what Norm Van lier died from I would suspect
a heart attack.

As for Kerr he died from Prostate Cancer
I had the pleasure of meeting these to great guys a few times
in my life and I always enjoyed there company.
Sad day for the Bulls and there fans.
RIP Stormin

I just read in an article, where Kendall Gill had said
that Norm seemed to be sad and at times some what bitter
that his jersey was not hanging from the rafters like some of the
others were.

Sad in deed, to bad now it may come to it after his passing.

I sad day for Bulls fans indeed. Norm Van Lier was before my time, but he was a great Bull.

I grew up in western Illinois and watched hundreds of Bulls game on WGN growing up, in the days when WGN showed almost all the games. I still catch a game every so often on WGN, but it will not be the same without Red Kerr.

The things I'll remember most about him is the call when Jordan torched Craig Ehlo and Jordan loading up his hands with rosin before every tip-off and clapping his hands right in front of Red creating a huge cloud.

I was lucky enough to get Red's signature TTM back in 2007.
