Very small mailweek with start of new player collection!!

First of all I will start it off with a WOW! :shock:

REA's catalog is MASSIVE! So much drool worthy stuff, manoman!!



Now for a shoutout to 17ROCKIES12 for the contest he ran last week....I won and he sent me this AWESOME prize!!!

Man what an awesome prize that is!! I am a Moyer fan, he's a great pitcher and I am also a fan of autoed cardboard so this is a great addition to the collection.....thanks a ton man!!!



Next up the start of my new *small* player collection....Justin Masterson.
I actually was searching his cards the other day and knew I had to have his Red Hot RC....well it kinda turned into a player collection haha. I am going to pick up what I can but I will pick up his cards for now and in between vintage card pickups.
I love him as a player....how he is so reliable and is a great starter as well as reliever. He works VERY hard and is fun to watch. I have seen him pitch multiple times in person and he does great everytime and gives it his all. Gotta love a player like that...
Interesting facts I did not know about him...1. He was born in Jamaica and 2. He is 6'6 250....I did NOT realize he was that big!


Oh yeah here is the Red Hot RC....These look AMAZING in person I am going to have to pick up a few more!! If anyone else has any of these to show off then go right ahead!!

I'll admit, my scanner isn't the best on shiny cards but you get the idea...if you guys have seen them in person then you know!

Tomlinson21RB - Ha, I wouldn't call it the "dark side" (You must not collect vintage :twisted: ) but it seems quite addicting and cheaper than vintage which is nice. And it's pretty cool collecting someone you can watch play while you are collecting them....something I have never experienced. :lol: Thanks!

pghbuccos - Yes my initial instinct was indeed correct!! And that Lester chrome auto you just got in....it looks like it has a minor surface blemish on the upper right corner. If you send it to my house I will take care of that for you, it will look as good as new... :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Scotty your decision to start a Masterson collection is looking like a very good move at this point. I always thought he was a good prospect and he's really making a case for a regular spot in the rotation. Next time I'm home (a couple weeks) I'll check to see what I have of him.

And I needed to pickup some non vintage cards while I'm not working yet so I could have some pickups that I could afford....and I figured....why not Masterson, I love him as a pitcher and have seen him pitch in person quite a bit and he is quite affordable and doesn't have 5,000 cards available. [Well soon enough he might not be :shock: ]
