How ironic. That story sounds fishy to me. My only question is why would she keep a 16 year old blind and deaf mutt who couldn't even move on his own alive to begin with? I completely understand how you can become very attached to a pet, but not putting that dog out of its misery sooner is abuse IMO.

That sucks. My pups are just like children to me. I hope people don't throw this in her face. Mistakes happen ,but I also believe that Vick should be forgiven. He did his time and deserves to move on with his life.

What Vick did and the word "mistake" do not belong anywhere near each other. Vicks crimes were intentional. And yes I am hoping for a career ending injury for him, he'll still get off easier than the dozens of dogs he tortured and killed violently.

Let's go Jacksonville defense!

I wasn't saying saying what Vick did was a mistake. I'm the biggest dog lover in the world ,but I also believe in forgiving people.

I believe in forgiveness too. To those who truly want it, need it and deserve it. I don't just hand out forgiveness. That's God's job. I'm not Him. Vick get's no forgiveness from me. Every time I think "Well, maybe you're being too harsh", I see him on ESPN looking smug and showing zero signs of anything remotely similar to remorse for his actions. It's been said from the start, he's only sorry he got caught. His upbringing allows him to think dog fighting and killing these "things" is a way of life. That doesn't change. His interviews show me he hasn't changed. I see forced and rehearsed contrition.

Now now children....

I would have just preferred the league show a little integrity and have banned Vick and anyone else convicted of any crime from the league permanently. Playing in the NFL, or any other professional sport is a priviledge. It comes with 7-8 figure earning potential and many other perks. Those who choose to throw it away on ridiculous actions and yes, even one time stupidity (such as the Burress and Stallworth incidents), should get no mercy either. One strike and you're out.

As for the story, anytime an animal is hurt or killed as a result of negligence or malicious intent it is a shame.

I never understood how anyone could "accidently" leave a baby or animal in the car??? I know for certain I would never do such a thing, my two weiny dog's are family in my mind (& I'd never leave a parent or sibling in the car, it just wouldn't happen). You've got to be entirely wrapped up in yourself to do such a thing & not thinking about those around you, IMO those types of people shouldn't be driving if they are that non-observant & distracted (take thier license away, if they're truly sorry for what they've done then they should accept that as the least of thier punishment). Just my opnion! :D
