it is real! Google 1939 yankee jerseys and you will find they all contain a centennial celebration logo patch on the sleeve. Both home and away jerseys do.

Here is my gehrig! It's one of my favorite cards. Just think...I have a sleeve logo patch from a almost 80 year old Lou Gehrig yankee jersey. Doesn't get much better then that!

Here is my gehrig! It's one of my favorite cards. Just think...I have a sleeve logo patch from a almost 80 year old Lou Gehrig yankee jersey. Doesn't get much better then that!

When I was 9 my great grandmother died of Lou Gehrig's disease, I wanted to start collecting him when I got older but I couldn't afford anything nice. I usually get his base stuff but every time I'm saving to get a jersey, something comes up more important, hopefully one day

I think I remember reading a article in beckett one time back in the day...say 2003-2005? Saying donruss had purchased some game used materials directly from the Lou Gehrig estate
