Then there are people like me who can do both. Some people enjoy all parts of the hobby.

Sent from my SM-G920P using Freedom Card Board mobile app

For sure, but I think most of the very high-end collectors tend to focus their interests in one of the other. I'm not sure someone who is buying a Bryce superfractor would be the same person buying a Ruth barrel, or no?

Stuff has gotten really expensive! I do like what panini has Been doing getting new hof materials like lefty gomed.

Posts 796,801,806 ... I'm w Tony. If there is break say w NT of 5 years and they come out with a bang I can see some sort of Super Product. But def not long term nor consistent. And to be honest I'm not sure how many more actual gamer I want cut up of pre 70s items.

Just think if a new mantle was bought, theRe would be big time buzz and exictment :)

But that's another issue I have. There supposedly has been some great items over the years and in the last 10-15 I can't recall much buzz because they don't actually state what it is. I think there was a grid showing what Panini NT 2012 items were , am I misremembering ?

Those guys won't happen...just me dreaming :). To my knowledge there are only twin known walter Johnson senators jerseys. One in the hall and one sold in 2009 I believe for mega bucks

A quick looks shows only 1 Foxx jersey and 2 Johnson's exist in the market . They are 300,000+ type items nor I sure I'd want the last ones existing to be cut. But still I'm not sure a company lays out 300,400,500k for those. And Dean had a 39 Centennial patch going for like 20-30k in 02 but then in 07 I see one get to 103k , and that seems over what a company would pay too. Just my thoughts

I don't want the last ones known to exist to be cut up, just hoping someone is hoarding Like 5 jerseys of each player in there basement and they will surface sometime ;)

The other guys I listed are possible....I think!

Any idea what the lefty gomez jersey cost that panini purchased?

I see a 1941 jersey sell for 16k (seems cheap) in 2014 , an the images were removed from a 2013 auction that was pulled of a 1941 jersey. So not sure if it was the same one and not sure why it was pulled from LeLands

I hope it was a 1941 jersey because that means there will be a sweet ww2 health sleeve patch on the jersey! Will have to get some of that. 16k seems like a good buy

It won't be easy to get another Mantle or Dimaggio or one of those names, but like I said I think the fact that the HOF GU market is a big enough market to cater to I think they'll find a clever way to bring in some intake of fresh gamers - otherwise they're leaving money on the table as there are many collectors who are willing and able to buy $500+ per product if the quality is decent and that will obviously be beneficial to us folks on the secondary market :p.

As much as I love the thought of GU, I'd be sad if they cut up a Walter Johnson jersey - a glove I'd be thrilled with, even pants but not a gamer that stuff shoul be preserved.

As for Dizzy Dean, here is the closest I've got to a prime patch! Actually one of my favorite pieces to be quite honest, though obviously not the most valuable - got it from George :D
