Made a couple of lowball offers on the tag and he essentially said the winning bidder declined to complete due to the bid cancellations. He'll take 275 if anyone is interested...

I don't think $275 is bad. Throw $250 at him, and see if he's serious about selling it. That's a $250 card. You wouldn't make money on it at that, but it's a solid price for a PC item.

Not crazy price. Exactly what mlbsalltimegreats said! I bid 350 on it and I actually thought 350 was a low ball bid. If I didn't have a 2008 santo jumbo logo patch then the bidding would have really gotten carried away ;)

and to add a Carl furillo (who's not a hall of famer) 1/1 tag sold for 300 on May 1st

Welp. I stand corrected. It's just such a small patch piece for the card.
