I met Phil Rizzuto at a card show near Boston in the mid 90's. He was walking through the dealer section of the show saying hello to everyone and shaking hands with almost everyone. The show promoter wasn't too happy. He was trying to get Phil to move along to sign stuff.
there as someone on here long time ago. had the coolest rizzuto autograph card. just signed "Phil"

Besides making a fine beer, Yuengling used to produce ice cream and baseball cards.
1928 is now covered with Earle Combs. Think that's all the vintage I'm buying until after the first of the year.
Cheers!!!

112th card of the 132 card set. Might actually consider finishing this one!

Picked this cool 1935 Babe Ruth magazine piece up at a local flea market. The story with it is kind of crazy. I was at a local estate sale 4 days ago. Tons of people and even more stuff, think borderline hoarder. So much stuff that American Pickers were there the week prior. I was getting ready to leave when I came across this piece sitting on a table. I picked it up and started walking away and got stopped by a worker that told me all the stuff on this particular table was already spoken for. Bummed out, I put it back and left. Fast forward to today and there was a flea market in my area, so I decided to go. Low and behold this piece was sitting at a booth for sale. Being such a unique piece that I had never seen, I went up to the guy and asked where he got it and explained that I just saw one 4 days ago and just missed out on buying it. He said a buddy just picked it up from an estate sale and sold it to him to then sell at the flea market...yep that same estate sale that I was trying to buy it from lol. Some things are just meant to end up in your possession.
