Just a tease, picked up a handfull of vintage at a little show today. Working on my Ken Boyer collection, and picked up a few older Twins along the way too. My wife is on our main computer now working on scrapbooking stuff, so I'll have to scan later. Looking forward to showing off!

Posted this on the main page, but I'll feature it here for those who missed it. Rarely do we have any shows here in Western Wisconsin, but there was one Saturday--at a movie theatre, no less. 20 tables, lots of vintage, lots of Packer stuff of course. The guy who organized it--owns a shop in Chippewa Falls--had Heritage boxes for $70, but I kept my focus on the $1.00 boxes. There were plenty of guys with Chrome/Draft/Elite prospect stuff, but that's not my thing, so, sorry prospectors there may have been a good deal there. Covered four decades with cards from the 50's through the 90's.

Twins stuff (showing off in the Twins thread, too)

Ken Boyer stuff. Really like finding Ken Boyer vintage, since he's not real expensive. The the 62 is so-so and the 63 is the worst of the lot, but it's my first of each, so they'll be good until I can upgrade. The '59 is a double. Forgot I already had it. The All Star was my biggest purchase of the day. Got that and the 65 Boyer Grand Slam--which is nearly perfect; beautiful card!--for $20. Everything else today came out of the $1. boxes. (cheapskate)

Couple other Cardinals. Really didn't find any other Team checklists. This one compliments my 65 O-Pee-Chee checklist.

Into the 70's with one card...

Picked up a 84 Donruss Joe Carter, 85 Donruss Mattingly ($1 each) so had a good day overall.

Nice purchases, Greg. I remember pulling most of those cards from packs once upon a time.

LOVE em', Eric!

Mind if I ask how much you paid for them?

I could look up exactly if you want to know, but, in order I believe it was:

$100
$45
$85

I had been looking for a reasonable Brown with the Athletic infiled for a long long time. I ended up getting the first graded copy for $100 and another popped up for auction the week after. I was happy with the first one, but tossed out a lowish bid on the next just for fun since I'd been looking for the card for so long. I ended up winning it also :P .

Also Scotty, I got a lot of my other pickups back this weekend so I'm hoping to get some pictures done tonight so I can post them. There are some very nice and very old pieces in that group.

I'm going to wait to post further 1951 Bowman cards until I have finished my project and they are signed.
