Vintage Pickups/Question

I bought a lot of 1938-39 Reds Team cards for my grandfather who was a huge Reds fan growing up. The cards were originally in a scrapbook. Many of them are still attached to the scrapbook pages or to each other and I was wondering if I should remove them and if so how. Thanks.
