Vladdy tied Lou Gehrig as the only 2 players to hit 25HR+ and .300+ AVG for 12 consecutive seasons.

With Vladdy's injuries and late start, he won't be able to do it 13 consecutive seasons, but if he can put together 15HR's in the 2nd half, he will be the FIRST Player to hit 20+HR and .300 AVG for 13 consecutive seasons.

Cobb (23) (Musial (16), Gwynn (14) are the only players to have more consecutive .300AVG seasons, and only Musial has 10 seasons of 20+ HRs.

Andruw Jones is 32 and about 25 home runs behind Vlad.

If he can hit 20 this season (he's at 10), I think he might be back to form by next season.

Thanks - bTW, Vlad got 3 HR and raised his avg 10 in last 10 days.
He started off very slow last year, and raised his average over 50points in a short period last season.
I thought for sure he wasn't going to be able to tie Gehrigs record last year, but was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.
I sure am hoping he can at least get his avg above 300....
