if its real buy it, who cares what the condition is. as long as the price isnt outrageous, i would love to have a chance to own the most sought after card in the industry
Exactly my thoughts....there are sooooo many reprints and fakes out there. What is to stop someone from taking a reprint and making it looked aged or even fire damaged to conceal any "reprint" evidence....which could be the case here.....I'm waiting for a pic of the back from someone, who knows someone....blah blah blah
My guess would be artificially aged.
True T206 cards tend to have a red/brown tint to the name at the bottom. The fact that it smeared red and not black is what causes me to not doubt its authenticity completely. But I do doubt it.The name at bottom looks in red ink. If it is, definitely fake (should be black). I wouldn't touch that card.
I find it funny when people want an informed decision, but can't post a clear photo. This looks like a scam photo for a bad ebay listing. If you have access to the card, get a good photo front and back and then ask our opinion. If seller will only provide an image like this, it's a scam.
A little brownish maybe, but not really red like that photo. But that photo is so crappy, who knows what the true color is.
