Phil Plantier...unless he was mentioned already.

Ahh yes Phil. I believe now In 2009 he was named the manager of the Diamond Jaxx. Before he was the hitting coach for the Double-A West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx in the Seattle Mariners organization in 2008.

When I was 10 or 11, the box-bottom cards were huge with me and my friends. A Vince Coleman changed hands two dozen times in the summer of 86, if I recall correctly.

Remember those super rare Elite inserts of Ryan and Sandburg in 92 Donruss..."limited" to only 5000 copies

1991 Topps Desert Shield cards, Donruss Elite cards..

Both of these cards still go for good money. The desert shield regularly goes for over $50 and the elites for over $40.

Now that said these were and still are red hot

his 01 chrome auto, nothing else really. his patches sell really well, as do his other cards.

in 2006, you could get close to $100 for his base UD rc

seriously? I have no idea what card your talking about, but I just assume a normal base card.
do those go for like 5 bucks now?

nothing has changed with albert, he even won MVP last year, so what gives?

the world series win or something?

91 or 92?I may be thinking about a different card but I doubt it.I think your talking about 1992.

I remember pulling some Pat Listach cards and not believing how much they were worth.Knoublach was also a hot seller around these parts.

One card I can't ever get over is the Griffey UD rookie. That thing was so hot I don't ever remember anything being a better card to have. You weren't a serious collector unless you had that bad boy.I always wanted one and never had one.Now I have 3.

Anything that came out after about 1993 most likely just wasn't hot around here. Not enough people anywhere around here collected baseball anymore. It was a dead hobby.Everybody and their brother got into basketball. But back then you could used to see everybody buying cards.Now...unless I am on here or at a show or a shop...I never run into anybody else who collects them.Even a lot of the people at the auto signings they have a round town don't really collect cards. Its almost like a freaking secret society now.
