Seriously, shouldn't the replay officials (who are not replacements by the way) be the ones catching the flack?
The play was replayed, blame them.
My undertsanding is the replay officials are NFL employees and not replacements.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

So you think OJ is innocent then?

My personal beliefs have no weight on the fact hat he was declared innocent by a group of his peers. Even though I don't recall 12 hof running backs being on the jury.

Same as Tate's catch. my beliefs have no impact on the fact that its been ruled a catch, td, and victory for the Seahawks.

Bad calls happen in all sports. They effect the outcomes of games every year. Couple the intense scrutiny of the replacements and the prime time finish and you get this XXXX storm of it being something bigger than it really is.

Everyone wants to romanticize the regular refs.. Yet we all mock their calls and XXXXX about them blowing games for the last 50 years. Now they are perfect? Eff that noise..

Thank you, thank you, thank you. So sick of hearing about the PI.

What did people expect Tate to do, refuse to accept the ruling, argue with the refs that he didn't make the catch? Replacerees called it a TD and they got the win, EVERY single player in the NFL would have taken it too. It was a bad call and it sucks but life goes on.

Better stop now before I get accused of supporting the murder of white women too.

Nice signature, I see where your view point comes from. I'm not asking for Tate to do anything other than handle himself with class. Who would honestly be beating their chest and flexing over a catch they never made? Take the gift and get off the field. Even Marshawn Lynch was apologizing to Packers fans outside of the restaurant he was at post game.

That was the only blown call in recent history of the league that affected the outcome of a game 100%. Tuck rule call was horrible, but the Pats still needed to make the FG.

Do you think the replacement refs are doing a good job? Do you not have more of an appreciation for the job the regular refs did? While not perfect, the regular refs know the rules, know how to communicate, and know how to keep control over a game. I can't say that for the replacements.

Mike Perry, spokesman for betting site Sportsbook.ag, told ESPN.com his estimate in the money swing on the call at the end of the game is closer to between $200 million and $250 million.
Perry said that 70 to 80 percent of the money on his site was put on the Packers, which is in line with the percentage bet in Vegas. At Mandalay Bay, the sportsbook took in about $500,000 in total bets, with about 85 percent of the money on the Packers.
And more illegally.

No the replacement refs suck! They are dragging the game down and reducing it to a near unwatchable level. Yet they are out there because of the differences brtween the usual refs and the owners.. Soooo I realize that regardless how I feel.. Unless I buy a team my feelings are irrelevant.

I was at the game, I was stunned in disbelief for the outcome. One ref signaled touchback, the other a TD. The NFL is really fracked up.

Mine isn't from officiating.. Mine is whoever made the call to start Cleo Lemon at quarterback for the dolphins.

Actually if you use ruling and the stats from the game golden Tate DID make that catch therefore chest pounding is acceptable. Not to mention there hasn't been a pi called on a Hail Mary since.. Ever.

He was a bad QB wasn't he  Believe it or not he was really good at Arkansas State. So was MD Jennings.

Absolute terrible call to end the game last night. As a Bears fan I kind of like it but as a football fan these refs have for to go. I wonder if one of them had Golden Tate on their fantasy team?

Was this the worst call in history or am I forgetting one?

I'm not saying this wasn't a horrible call, however, I think it has the perfect storm of opportunity to get the most press ever.

1. It was a Monday night game.
2. It was the Packers.
3. It was on the final play.
4. It had replacement refs.

There have been some really bad calls before that no one really cared about. Like the Calvin Johnson TD catch that was called incomplete against the Bears that cost the Lions a win.

No one really cared because:
1. It was a regular Sunday game
2. It was the Lions
3. It was on the final play, but still it was the Lions
4. It had the regular refs making a mistake
