Personally, I don't think so. The winning bid was placed after the 2nd place bid by around 7 minutes. The 3rd place bid was placed about 12 hours earlier. The winner had to have known it was going to end in that range.

I would say there was at least two accounts shilling the auction.

On another note, who in the world would pay $12K for a printing plate?

It doesn't look like a typical shill with a bunch of little incremental bids at the end. The 0 fber made his first bid of $8k over a week before the auction ended, then on the 24th it was matched by the 17 guy. 0 then upped his bid to $9555 a few hours later. Then in the last 24 hours the 0 guy and the winner went back and forth. The only thing questionable about the bidding is that the underbidder had 0 feedback. Maybe it's a shill, maybe it's a real guy, a major player who doesn't want to leave a history on his regular account, maybe it's just someone new to eBay.

my biggest card regret........I turned down a Trout plate with a sticker auto from Chrome for $100 at release
