Got all the residents hyped up to the point that they were goin nuts come the first pitch.

Watched the full game. Its gonna go CRAZY if Puerto Rico plays Dominican Republic.

These kids love Puerto Rico.

Well that game was interesting for 5 innings. As soon as V. Zambrano came in, I turned to my wife and said, "we'll be able to leave in about half an hour." Sure enough....

It was quite a party atmosphere at the Dome, though. Even when down 10-3, the Venezuelans were in full force. That's what I love most about Toronto. Every country is represented here. It's an absolute blast during the soccer World Cup.

Anyway, back to the Dome in 8 hours for Canada-Italy. I have a feeling the atmosphere won't be the same as Saturday.

Probably not, but assuming Canada doesn't completely bomb and lose to Italy, the Venezuela/Canada matchup tomorrow should be an absolute blast!

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to that one. I like the matchup for Canada as we've got our ace (Richmond) against, well, the Venezuelan bullpen. Still, they've got a ton of power in that lineup. Should be fun. Assuming, as you said, that Canada handles Italy.

Then we'd get a US-Canada rematch for Wednesday.

Interesting. I know it is really tough for a lot of these guys to decide whether to risk further injury or turn down their country, but it's interesting that he stayed on the roster.
