Magglio starred to see if the ball was going fair or foul. Weaver was out of line for cursing at Magglio, but Guillen is a veteran. He knows better than that. Guillen should have put his head down and circled around the bases. He knew that Weaver was going to take note by eye balling him like that. You only put your team mates in danger and Guillen should have been the better man.

Or Weaver shouldn't have given up a homer? Or he could have just brushed it off?

How'd this happen without a hit?
P Bourjos grounded into fielder's choice to third, E Aybar scored, P Bourjos to second.

Grounder to the 3B, Aybar in a run down between home and 3rd, Verlander dropped the ball which allowed Aybar to score and Bourjos went to 2nd during the rundown.

Again, Tigers players oozing class. Verlander yelling out of the dugout between innings at Aybar, saying the next time he faces him he's going to peg him.

This might be a better game than if JV had a boring, run-of-the-mill No-Hitter.

I hope MLBN stays with it...

I've known Jered since he was 12 this doesnt surprise me. Weaver is emotional and he let the Tigers get to him. I thought he overreacted to magglio but Guillen's antics were uncalled for and classless.

Classless, like throwing at heads. You either throw it behind the next batter, or wait until you face that batter again to go head hunting.

You should never throw at heads. He wasn't trying to hit Avila, it wasn't even close, Avila didnt even flinch. He was sending a message. I agree though it is classless and dangerous to throw high at a guy. Weaver's not a head hunter and I don't know why he threw high instead of behind. I think he just lost his sh!t

I was laughing watching him come off the field...you could see a tiger fan screaming something at weaver and all i could read on his lips were "your brother". I'm sure Tiger fans have some nice things to say about Jeff.

Guillen would have never done that if Weaver hadn't responded to Mags like he did. Mags never says anything. I've never even seen him argue with umps, let alone talk trash.

Also, I'm not sure Verlander is a pitcher I'd want to piss off. Taking a 100 mph fastball is not going to be fun. Aybar is probably not looking forward to the next time he sees him.

This is too funny. Wonder how many more "stay classy" will be used here. You know Aybar was going to bunt and I see nothing wrong with it(yes I'm an Angels fan). But don't tell me Verlander didn't throw that away to get the "error" to keep his no-hit going at that point.

wow no etiquette there, stay classy aybar.

stupid. absolutely stupid. you are there to win a baseball game and possibly a division, not be put in the history books. no etiquette is necessary when you are being embarrassed.

From ESPN:
"Magglio Ordonez hit a two-run homer off Weaver in the third. Weaver yelled at Ordonez as he rounded the bases, apparently thinking he had been posing as he watched the shot, which barely stayed fair."

Weaver's fault. You could tell that Ordonez was looking the ball and tilting hoping it was fair. Magglio doesn't do that crap. Weaver is a loser.
