Morning all! I know it's been awhile since I've posted here. Trying to get some motivation to get back into the hobby, but I've hit a lull the last year or 2. Last card I bought on eBay was back in 2023. Granted, all of our medical expenses in 2024 made it impossible to even consider buying something card related. Trying to decide what exactly I want to do with everything at this point.

Oh I know Barry. Been crazy busy at work. Back in July, they let our office administrator go, so I was covering that for a month. Then right before harvest, they hired a new gal, so I was then training her while doing my job and running the scale at harvest. Now, our marketer has been gone since first week of December, so helping my boss fill in on that as well.

In the meantime, we've been running Bennett around for his labwork. Not sure if I mentioned it last time I checked in, but he had a 2nd kidney biopsy back in November. He's back on steroids again, and now they put him on an immunosuppressant as well. That part gets a little scary with him being in kindergarten, the other 2 kids at daycare, and then Jayme teaching in a different part of the school, so they are all bringing the germs in from different groups of kids

I got a billing statement from the Veterans Administration for my medical coverage. $197,228.09 for my last surgery.

The surgery was at a civilian hospital. They billed the VA for that much. The VA paid about $28,000. Medicare was billed the rest. I'll be screwed if Trumps starts screwing with the VA. I don't know how much Medicare paid.

The weather folks were calling for ice north of KC. Well, it hit KC. Nice thin layer of ice on all the roads this morning. Majority of the highways were closed this morning. I decided to sleep in.
