What a week! Several players with posted some great numbers this past week. Bryce Harper starting to turn it on, Matt Purke looking like the 1st round pick he was supposed to look like, Gerrit Cole & Trevor Bauer proving to be the nation's best 1-2 punch... Check it all out here:

Wow Cole & Bauer combining for 30 K's in 2 games. They are going to be handful of a 1-2 punch in the CWS for the next 2 years.

Cole and Bauer are absolute studs. Between Gerrit Cole, Taylor Jungmann, Sonny Gray, Trevor Bauer, and Matt Harvey, those 5 are going to make 2011 one of the best college pitching classes in the past decade.

I watched Sonny Gray pitch in person Friday as he dominated us. Kid's insane. Throwing 94 in the 8th inning with two sick breaking balls.

These kids are so good it is scary, especially when considering Bauer skipped his senior year of high school to go to college (incredibly smart kid). When you add in Rob Rasmussen as the Sunday starter (5'9 lefty with power stuff and had a great summer at the Cape), that rotation is just scary and one of the top two in the country along with Texas.

Harvey will be a '10 Draftee - can't see him returning for a Senior year. Matt Purke would make for a nice fifth though.

Will Purke be draft-eligible as a soph?

Your right, my mistake. Either way, it's going to be a star studded class.

Plus Jack Armstrong, Alex Meyer, and Danny Hultzen

Crazy thing about Bauer is that he should have been a high school senior last year. 2010 should be his freshman year. He could have been a first rounder last year if he wanted to go pro. Instead, he graduated a semester early and enrolled at UCLA.

Wow...a Thrailkill sighting. His pro hopes are shot I would guess, but it's good to see him back on the mound.

Forgot all about Meyer. He pitches at my own school for crying out loud, lol.
