Got on eBay and saw some auctions for some Ultimate and the seller had group scans, saw an awesome jumbo patch and saw it was Justin Upton. He was listing with BIN's, but the Upton hadn't been listed yet, so when it popped up, I took it. Paid a little more than I would have liked, but when am I going to find a nicer Upton patch? The seller sent me a solo scan, but he didn't crop it, so it's still small...

The patch is from the 2008 Diamondbacks 10th Anniversary patch.

After his all-star season, he'll be in a lot more stuff, costing me money. Like 2010 Triple Threads, if they have foldout sleeve patches again and the all-star logo patch...oh boy. I need to stop buying wax...again.

I'm pretty sure. The product is brand new, so someone would have to just happen to have a Diamondbacks 10th Anniversary patch sitting around. Also, here is the original group scan...

No other questionable patches there, none in the sellers current or completed auctions. Plus I saw this equally awesome Ryan Zimmerman patch from a different seller who was also selling some other just ordinary jumbo patches from the set...

I saw the original group scan, and I do agree with you on almost every point. It probably is real due to the factors you mentioned, but a patch that nice always leaves me the slightest doubt even in a almost certain clear cut situation like we have here. That lingering doubt just wouldnt allow me to drop 200 on the card even though in all likelyhood it is probably real. It is the sad state of the hobby and industry we have today though

Yes, thank you for the extras, it had a nasty roller line from printer, but know that isn't your fault or anything. Stupid QC on these cards. It could be the background, only one I can find right now to check against is the Super and well that isn't easy to see background.
