Congrats! Those Castro's have been sweet, I have seen a lot of sweet patches come from this set of him.

I would love to get my hands on the Blue Jerry Sands, they are non relic, but I have the green and base. I do have a sweet Maggi Auto/Relic with part of the flag in the relic..Sweet card.

No sooner did i start selling off the majority of my psa/dna rookie cards do i find one that i have looked for over 5 years for....
I have only seen one other piazza rookie on ebay, in that time, and i thought it was too much, and let it go...little did i know I would spend the next 5 years looking!

Any piazza rookie would have worked, preferred the fleer update, but this is probably his most rare of the three...anyway, I think this would have completed my collection would have I waited.

8-) OK First off a BIG THANKS to mudflap02 our resident Heritage collector for contacting me about a certain card that has not been easy to find. I saw one about a year and half ago maybe two. And I didn't pull the trigger. :benson: So one come up on ebay with the other day $38.00/OBO. I just hit watch, Later that same day I checked here and had a PM from Jeff saying he found a card that he knew I would be interested in. Anyways he made a BO of $18.00 and the seller agreed. :D Jeff said it was in good condition to grade and if I wanted it he would sell it to me for dibs on when I get rid of it along with my other Sweeney black Ref. I have. The scan doesn't give it justice. probably going to grade it. So after a year and a half or more here it is. :D

nice pick up and while it is technically an insert, it boggles my mind how that card never got much attention. i have a psa 8 in my collection and a few years back, i bought a lot of 3 92 donruss the rookies boxes and pulled 3-4 of them 8-)

Rookie inserts are the best kind of rookies aren't they :D
It's like a gold refractor today...parallels, inserts, whatever they want to call them
I know at one time I wanted the most rare rookie of all the 80s guys, and most of them didn't have any...I would either buy psa 10 tiffanys, or bazooka helton, phenom piazza (very tough by the way), and if they didn't have any rare mlb's i would buy their minor league cards...

Lots of mail came in this week, and I'm sure there will be more in the next few days, but I had to post my BGS mailday 2 days ago and a couple of my Sanchez Sterling pickups. Firs the Sanchez

This also came in which was shipped on 1/4/11. Another post office fail, but at least I got it as it has the best set of patches of any other copy I saw

Now for the BGS order. Overall, not too shabby. Lots of surprises going both ways, and lot's of 9's I knew I would get (as I intended to have the card slabbed for protection)

Disappointed, especially since this card looks 10x better than a 9.5 copy I bought off ebay (which happened to be the 1st graded).

 I'm loving it! This was a pop 1 card until some crazy dude from Illinois graded one 8-)

Incredibly dissapointed. 8.5 surface? I had to have missed something as the surface looked smooth to me. But the next one made up for it 8-)

A population 1/1 Bubba. Only one graded 9.5. I'm happy.

Expected overall result but am loving the subs! Only .5 away on a card that is incredibly hard to gem.

Surprised, but won't complain :)

Shocked. Words cannot describe how amazed I am that this is in a gold lablel. The scans do NOT do the centering justice, because it's terrible. It is the exact same centering as the one with an 8.5 subgrade, but again, I'll take it :)
