I ended up finding quite a bit to buy. These have really kick-started a small side project I've been slowly working on...

This was a really fun show, as my girlfriend came with me and helped me pick out the cards. I was (obviously) looking for All-Stars and League Leaders, and one dealer had multiples. So, my girlfriend was in charge of picking out the best example of each. I think she did a great job...what do you think?

Amazingly, just as I was leaving, I even found a Will Clark card I needed...

Holy Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice pickups!!!! What did all that run you......if you don't mind.....

I have a pretty decent collection of league leaders / all star cards from the 50s and 60s. I bought a huge lot at an estate sale a couple years back and most of it was LL / AS cards.

Love those 58 All Star cards!!!! Those are probably my favorite...

I agree. The 1958s and 1960s are just fantastic designs. I found a great dealer that was blowing out his inventory at 50% of what he had listed, and was able to pick up everything pictured above (excluding the Will Clark) for about $160. That's like $1 a card, which I thought was pretty darn good. It's also way more fun to get 'em at a show as opposed to eBay.

Pretty much just the All-Stars and League Leaders. For a couple years, I may do some other subsets, like the Highlights or 1982 In Action, but it's mostly the AS and LL. I'm not too worried about perfect corners or anything, they're just cool cards to put in a binder and enjoy. I mean, I picked up 40 year old cards with a whole bunch of HOFers for a buck a piece. Can't go wrong with that!

(Edited to say that I just realized I doubled some scans and left out others. I just updated it to include them all...)
