I posted this in the 90s thread, but it probably belongs here. I've recently come across a lot of 1989 TV Sports Mailbags. I have about 30 different bags. Not super-rare, but not exactly easy to find. Let me know if you need a particular team or player.

Love these 1980s cards. So many overprinted cards, so little time. Good stuff.

Eric is King!

As some may know, I collect alot of different things, but one of my main PC's are AS & HOF Rc's from Pre 1986. although I have much to add to this thread, many will remember this card from the 82 Fleer set. The one nobody could find. Although not a rookie, this was always listed as the real expensive error card:

1982 Fleer John Littlefield Reverse Negative. I busted alot of my 82 Fleer Stash about 4 years ago, and pulled this out of a couple hundred packs. Who knows if there are any more in my stash or not.

I'm going to have to do a better scan, and might as well do it with the correct version. The last time I checked, these things were still selling 30+ in PSA 8 or better form

Nice Littlefield. I remember back in the day I pulled two of those from packs right when they came out in 1982. Sorting though the cards I realized some were photo reversed but didnt think anything of it because of all the error stuff Fleer did in 1981. Went to a big show later that summer, saw they were selling for well over 200 bucks and went home, drove back and made the easiest 400 bucks I ever made selling to a dealer that had to have them!

For those that are going to be attending The National next week, BBCE is running a pretty amazing special

from their website www.bbcexhange.com

"Are You Attending The National Sports Collectors Convention?

If you've seen us at a show before you know we bring a truckload of vintage unopened product along with sets and single cards. As much as we want to, we just can't bring our whole inventory. So, if you are attending the National, and you'd like for us to bring something specific for you, simply do the following: Place a website order and in the "comments" section just let us know that you'd like to pick it up at the National. We will process your order, minus the shipping, and bring your items to the show for you to pick up in person."

This is an amazing deal on HEAVY purchases, like Sealed Cases.

Something to think about .

I started collecting in 1988 with 1988 Donruss, and sold off my original collection between summer 2001 and summer of 2002. For all those years I was never able to complete a 1988 Donruss set! There's was one SP common that I could never find (I forget who it was). Took me years to complete my 1988 Topps set as well...it was 6 or 7 years before I picked up the one missing card, the legendarily terrible Jheri-curled Steve Jeltz.

Picked this up this weekend, was hoping to get some input on whether it is just a faded/sun-exposed copy or possibly a reprint. The spot-color on the front of the card is typically bright red.

BIG CAT

1986 Donruss RR RC

Wish this guy would have played his whole career with Atlanta. Imagine El Gato in place of Bream or Brian Hunter or Brian Jordan for that matter.
