Okay guys. Little bit of a vent.

Not many places to get your hair cut here where I live. I have pretty curly hair, too... not fro-curls, but normal ol' curls.

Well, a couple of months back I went to this craphole called Mastercuts that only trains their "stylist" with two haircuts for men -- ceasar and buzzcut. Well, I thought the girl would understand "LIGHT trim but keep the shape."

She freaking went to TOWN. I used to let it just be moppy, and I could kinda' spike it up a bit, too, if I could get the curls to work with me. Not only did she hit me with the ceasar (which is horrible for the shape of my head), but she also decided to play Freddy with the thinning shears (she didn't hesitate so I had to time to say "Oh, don't use those"). Well, thinning shears + thick hair with curls = nappy jagged hair that just lays there. I have had my hair cut twice since then at a different place that does a good job, but, because of the thinning she did, my hair is growing in volume instead of length... so not only is it not curling, it also just looks like a carpet on my head..

Avoid them at ALL costs.

Glad the strike worked quickly, George! Feel like coming to the West Coast and organizing us?

My strike demands are simple:

1. Don't lay me off next month!

2. Build a bathroom within a three minute walk of my cubicle!

3. Two words: Free Food

What do we want!?!??
To keep my job. A bathroom closer to where I work so I don't piss myself while helping an bunch of kids that think the X-Men are real. A free taco bar on Fridays.
When do we want it?

Ya know, my college often has free food days for students and staff. I, of course, fit into an odd "purgatory" niche in which my pay level does not qualify for free stuff. EVERYONE on campus, other than the few of us in the "non-classified" classification (yes, that is our ACTUAL designation), gets free stuff!

If I want the free stuff, I have to pay $2 for the swag. So, basically, I rank as high as any yahoo who wanders onto the campus with a couple George Washingtons in his/her pocket.

In terms of free food, STUDENTS outrank me!!! ::facepalm::

We had our monthly football break last night and I got a very nice PC hit. It's a Colts player instead of a Bengal though. We did a case of 2009 Donruss Limited and I hit a Donald Brown Letterman autograph! These are actual Letterman, not manufactured patches. It's the "B" from Brown and it's 1/5. I don't know why they didn't number them all 1/1, but it doesn't matter. I am very happy with the hit.

I go to an actual barber shop. You know, where they still have the little cardboard display on the wall selling "unbreakable pocket combs". Where they have guys named Chuck and Bill working. Where the barbers sit in empty chairs reading a newspaper during their breaks. Where they still have a manual cash register. Where the only magazines are Sports Illustrated , Popular Mechanics, etc. And, most importantly, where they only charge $9!

I myself am not a fisherman but I would just ask, "catch anything this week" and before you knew it he would start talking and BAM, hair cut done!
