Thanks Dan!

Charlie- Sounds like a plan to me. Of course, I hear enough fat jokes from people who haven't seen me, it's never going to end after the get together.

There's a cool discussion on the FB board so I thought I would bring it to you guys for a minute. I know where George stands on this. What do you guys think about slabbing PC cards? This includes 1/1s, game used, non RCs, and so on.

I have slowly been starting to get my higher end PC and favorite PC cards slabbed for the protection. As money allows, I plan on getting much more slabbed. I'm not sure if I am going to actually have them graded, but I at least want to get them slabbed BGS authentic. What is everyone else's thoughts on the matter?
Dude, I'm 6'3" & 305. You won't be hearing any fat jokes from me.

As far as PC cards go, I prefer magnetic holders for auto/gamers. I just don't think I'd be happy with them in slabs.

Something like this, I may eventually get slabbed and auto graded.

Mostly because it is an IP auto on a condition sensitive card.

NATHAN "Sonny" WESTON - ERNEST WESTFIELD

ROBERT WIGGINS - LOUIS "The Grey Cat" CLARIZIO JR

JULIUS "Satchel" SLEDGE - HERON O'NEAL

Anybody know who these guys are?

They will be signing at the show Saturday either for free, or for next to nothing.

Any I should try to get? For myself or for anyone else here?

Never, ever, ever let a woman cut a man's hair. Go to the oldest barber in town you can find.
Go to a barber shop. Not a salon or stylist. Never get your hair cut by some guy named Dirk or Antoine. The barber shop should some sports reference either on the walls or on TV.
I haven't had a guy cut my hair in more than 10 years. Great Clips baby! $7.99 when they send the coupons :D

I agree with Jeff.....During my time in the service one guy cut my hair for many years. Old guy on Yadkin Rd (LaneyB Ref), he always wanted to talk about fishing. I myself am not a fisherman but I would just ask, "catch anything this week" and before you knew it he would start talking and BAM, hair cut done!

Same here! Though the guys at my barber talk about baseball and football mostly. One older guy (older than me, at least) talks about the good old days of surfing. :D

I miss surfing....When a professor turns down a offer here they fill out a interview survey, #1 reason to turn down a position here, No body of water.[/quote:1w3yqjcd]

This guy lives right here in my town still. I see him around some times. Very friendly and cool to everyone. :)

We take surfing seriously here in HB. Actually had a court case against Santa Cruz. Both towns thought they deserved to call their towns "Surf City" as the official nickname. Huntington Beach "won" the case... Wonder how many tax dollars were spent on this crucial matter...::facepalm::

Probably have to be somewhere between Chicago and Indy to make it easy for everyone.

Perhaps at the Calfas estate?

He writes a surfing column for the local community paper. :D Maybe I could write to him and ask for that inscription. He can also be found early some mornings conducting surfing classes for rich kids down at the pier. :)

Joe I am not a fan of graded cards unless they are Bowman Chrome rookies of the guys I collect. all of my Bay 1/1's autographs, patches and any other high-enders are in magnetic one touches and that is good enough for me.

I have never sent a card in for grading. The main reason is that I am worried that it will get lost in the mail on the way to/from the grader and it will be gone. Yes, I am a worrywart. I do as pgh does. Just put my best cards in one-touches.

Morning fellas......MT meet-up would be awesome! Where is everyone midwest wise again. I'm southern Indiana.

APharis: I've cut my own hair for @ 12 years or so. No one to blame but myself. :) Congrats on the plates.

Joe: Sweet Brown pull.

Art: congrats on the doc apt. and reschedule

George: Nice pick, but what does the other side of the sign you're wearing say.

Dave: Sinus infections suck, I've had a little something myself for the past week that I just can't kick.

Morning to everyone else.

George and Charlie- the Wake card I wanted is marked Sold too. Hard for me ot believe someone else bought it. You'll probably get an email soon George. If not, we can get Ty Hope involved. He knows a guy in that shop and helped me out a while ago moving an order through.

Congrats on the plate, Adam!

Art- glad to hear your checkup went well! And congrats on your big Bay pickup too. Oh and wow on the TTT Arod pulls.

Joe- no grading for me. I actually don't like the holders for storage. I know it protects the card, but they're too bulky for me. Oh congrats on the nice fb pull!! :D

Steve- I get them around this time of year and they do suck. Hope you feel better too.
