So I had a listing up (just like 40 some other of my listings that are up and were not taken down and the hundreds that have preceded it) and I get an email stating it was pulled because of "Description: USPS Money Orders". Does ebay not allow money orders anymore? I thought you just had to have paypal available?

They started that late last year. You can no longer list Checks or MO as forms of payment.

I believe you're auction can not say that you accept any payment form except paypal, credit card, COD, or another online payment method.

I have seen other auctions that say they accept MO so it must be a random screening thing.

Sellers cannot solicit paper payments and can only accept electronic payments on eBay's list of acceptable payments. With the exception of the list of categories that Jay listed above. In the future I recommend listing all of your cards in the Adult Only section. I will accept checks and MO's if asked by a bidder and am formulating some kind of statement that implies I will take checks and MO without actually saying it.

Put in your description, Paypal preferred, however other forms of payment accepted, please contact me for details.

This should allow you to take MO's without having your auctions taken down by eBay.

I wonder if eBay has seen an increase in listings in that category?

According to the payment policy, that is not allowed, either.

From eBay:

"Sellers must clearly state the payment methods they accept, and can’t make generalized statements or ask buyers to contact them for additional payment methods. Sellers can’t offer a payment method to some buyers and not to others, discourage buyers from using a certain payment method, or ask buyers to pay using a method not mentioned in the Payment Details section of the original listing."

But you can say contact me for payment info in big bold letters. I have received CASH on 3 of my auctions from last week. They asked and I said okey dokey. Almost $100 of moolah in the mail. Screw paypal fees! Revolt!
