What about 1996 Circa Rave? I know they are numbered to 150 but I just picked up the only Ozzie I have ever seen a couple weeks ago. Just a thought.

I love the threads on here about 90's inserts, which got me thinking. Should we maybe try to have a thread per set with the opening post giving info about it (print run, odds to pull if known, current rarity and oddball facts about the set) and a checklist of the set. The posts after that could be people throwing up scans of the ones they have and sharing stories about them.

Thought I'd ask first since I'm not sure if this would be seen as clutter having a post for each popular insert set or more of a tribute to these sets. I think it could be a cool way to centralize and preserve the info for these. What do you guys think?

This actually sounds like a pretty cool idea. I'm sure one of the more prominent 90's collectors would be happy to collect all the links

I agree Andy. It would be much easier to find information instead of digging through the 90's threads.

It would make searching faster for those visiting the site who aren't regulars as well to have thread titles matching the sets. Just sounds like a neat idea. The 90's thread gets some serious love around here but has become a bit of its own monster[/quote:3avwei77]

Has anyone with a lot of knowledge about a particular set taken the bull by the horns yet? I'd love to start setting some bookmarks

Yeah the Crusades are an insert divided into three sets. The Mirrors are a parallel divided into x sets depending on the year. I'm not sure how to compare PSA10s to low print runs, but I know the highest graded card doesn't make it a 1/1 :)

Does your friend Richard know how many Gold Embossed Refractor sets were produced? Also, how many sets does he have? I'm close to finishing mine. I bet your friend wasn't too pleased when Burbank listed a bunch of them a few months back.

[quote="George_Calfas":5crdads2]I agree that when a Crusade Red pops up they sell well, however they are one of three cards from and insert set (green, purple, red). The 1996 Mirror Gold Nomo CS (the second in the set, not the primary card) recently sold for $1500+, the Red Crusade hit $1350. Since those have a low print run, 25 and 30 I would compare sells to 1993 refractor PSA10,

Richard is the name of the 1997 Embossed Refractor buyer, good friend.

My thoughts on comparing PSA10 1993 to Reds or Mirror golds is population, most cards now have PSA10s in population from 10-30 (two have 0 PSA10s). That balances the value (imo) due to print runs; 241ish-30-25.

I know the approx print run from the 1997s ;)
If you want to share your needs I might be able to help...plus I will reply with print run.[/quote:5crdads2]

Skybox precious metal gems, and later rubys. Super raves, and topps gold label red label class 3? /25. Might not book the most but they bring good coin. Ultra Platinums don't seem to get as much love, maybe some of the big players. 99 Ultimate Victory parallel /25 used to bring some jaw dropping prices sometimes, not sure if they still do. No one has mentioned any of the Credentials sets either. The SP guys sell like crazy.
This probably goes in the big 90s insert thread, but does anyone here own a 96 Afficianado Magic Numbers Sample card of their player. I know I have one, but it's not Griffey. Griffey is the only player listed on eBay in quite a while. Not sure if every player in the set has one.

Here is my Sosa Sample card, I not sure who else has been found.

Who are the three players you have? Are they all Sosa or all Juan G. or different players?

Thanks
